Having used the new design for a few days before making a decision, I have to say it isn't really working for me. No one thing is too bad, but taken together makes the site a chore to navigate.

The carousels suck. Sometimes the new stuff is on the right, sometimes its the left. The video descriptions are hidden so on shows that have similar thumbnails (P4 Endurance Run especially) it can be tough to find the right episode after a longer break. Plus navigating them is a pain when the series is longer than 10 or so episodes. I do use the grid view toggle, but it'd be nice to have a way to default to it.

Frontpage needs shrunk. Old site I was able to see everything new with a glance, now the main video takes up WAY too much space and hides anything else.

Too much redundancy on the frontpage. Since I watch pretty much everything I see the same videos several times between Latest, Popular, Watchlist, and what seems to be a broken Continue Watching that's showing me stuff I finished (and a least one video is there twice for some reason).

Not a fan of white text on dark backgrounds. Never have been.

No Recent Forum Activity on the frontpage is just unfriendly.

Please make a toggle for autoplay. I hate having stuff autoplay.

Nope. My purchase or lack thereof ultimately means jack-squat to the employees of a large company.

Jeffperts, wherein Jeffs Gerstmann and Bakalar answer burning tech questions.

Jefpervs, wherein expert Gerstmann introduces innocent Bakalar to the dark side of anime.

As much as their type of game wasn't for me, they got me to finish all but the last chapter of Tales from the Borderlands. So, they clearly had something going for them.

However the part of me that keeps track of game company decisions to see where they go always wondered if them getting IP licenses left and right a few years ago was overly ambitious. Looks like it just may have been.

Makes me ponder the way things could go for THQNordic.

Please, for the love of whatever you believe in, STOP thinking like that. The guys have made it pretty clear they are against sexual assault.

Also, like it or not, streaming is THE BIG THING among the youth. Big enough that kids/early-teens care more about what streamer a person watches than what games they play. At least that's my perception based on my brother's experiences working with kids and teens as librarian.

Lets get a thing straight; It wasn't "blocking a used sale" as Polygon would like you to believe. What's happened (As I understand it) is a dude is selling a sealed copy of Evil Within 2. His wording, unintentionally I would suspect, makes it sound like this copy is a "New" retail copy when it is an unopened "Used" copy.

Now, when a retailer sells a product they are obligated to provide certain return/replacement and warranty services. The seller, being a lone guy just getting rid of something, isn't capable of providing these services. This creates a scenario in which Bethesda/Zenimax may become responsible for the services (laws differ) and take on other responsibilities that would normally fall on the retailer.

Zeni/Beth's lawyers, being lawyers, would rather that they not have to take on these responsibilities as the seller is not one of the companies "Authorized Retailers" who have a contract that likely keeps responsibilities clear.

So, yes, wadtomaton is correct in that a few semantic changes would have made this never happen to begin with.

Alternatively, wear what you want and stop trying to push your choices on everyone else.

For the set of games provided? USA all the way. Soulsborne stuff paled quickly and never got into the other games.

Nah. There's nothing impressive about being good at videogames.
