@petefic: You are correct. This game is not about waiting for enemies to attack and parrying until you hit them once. It's more about getting in there and clashing swords with the enemy as well as parrying what they throw at you.
Attacking an enemy will always raise their posture meter whether you hit them or they block it, plus if you hit them and take their health down their posture meter will not lower as fast.
@pjgut: I think some of that was for the sake of the demo. It was especially telling when she said that she was making two traps. Unless they recorded every possible crafting outcome, I doubt that will be in the game. My guess is that dialogue when she walks up to the wreckage of the last enemy is probably more like what we will see in game.
@xfuturesx: I got that vibe too! Especially in the self narration when analyzing the machine's weaknesses and examining the wreckage. Not sure if that was just for the demo, but I wouldn't mind a bit of it when playing. Sometimes it is just nice to hear what the character you are playing is thinking.
@mcblemmen: Don't think anyone said that Scott was the best. Also, his career isn't based in astrophysics, although it started there. I believe he works for a software company of some sort at the moment.
As for your last question, Drew introduces him in the video.
@silentsandman: Plus, the collecting things to survive aspect isn't just limited to survival games. RPGs do this as well...to an extent.
I don't see what's wrong with it...I like making my inventory numbers go higher. As long as how we can put that inventory to use is interesting, it'll be fine. :)
@williamr: Your comment made me smile. As someone who is just starting to get into their coverage of F1 (I have only a very limited knowledge gleaned from years of watching Top Gear), it is immediately apparent that following the sport through Drew and Danny will be quite entertaining.
