I'm going to say that I believe Mario Wonder is firmly in the mainline Mario series.

@kyary: That story is in the Polygon article on his passing: https://www.polygon.com/22857879/john-madden-obituary-nfl-video-games-ea-sports-sales-legacy

EA founder Trip Hawkins went to Madden with the idea of doing a 7-on-7 football game but Madden was adamant that if he was going to put his name on it then it had to be real 11-on-11 football.

For me, Madden changed the way I watched football. I no longer "ball watch" but actually see plays develop. I can pick out open receivers, I can spot whether the defense is in man or zone before a snap or I can spot which gaps linebackers are assigned to plug. As cliche as it sounds I really believe games like Madden have helped teach a generation of fans how football really works and helped popularize analytics among fans, after all we were already going for it on 4th down everytime at home.

Mario Maker 2: For as great as that game is, Nintendo still hasn't figured out to handle searching for and surfacing levels. This game didn't even launch with the equivalent of the bookmark site they eventually added to MM1.

After feeling choice paralysis (so much new stuff) I finally made my first level. It's a pretty traditional Mario platforming stage although the goal was for the jumps to feel a little "off" compared to Nintendo. Distances aren't right and that sort of thing.

RIP to a legend. I think the moment it will really sink in is the first time I see a Marvel movie where he doesn't have a cameo (so either late next year or early 2020).

Jimmy Butler to Philadelphia for Dario Saric, Robert Covington and other spare parts. I feel like the 76ers gave up a lot to get a star that doesn't really fit. Butler is a shaky jump shooter and is at his best with the ball in his hands which also describes Simmons and Embiid.

I feel bad for Covington. He was undrafted and turned himself into a legit multi-positional defender and ace 3 point shooter and worked his ass off to earn a starting spot on a Finals contender. Now he will be lucky if he makes the playoffs.

I had never heard of the co-pilot feature until this post. My wife enjoys making decisions and controlling dialog in Telltale games but isn't good at and hates the quick time events. Seems like this is the perfect solution.

@patoday: I hadn't seen it until this morning. Can't see anything that looks like Rondo spitting, but it was a bit telling that LeBron was talking to Paul rather than the guys on his own team.

Pacers bench has looked good. McDermott is raining fire from deep, Tyreke has provided scoring and playmaking and Sabonis has been a double-double threat off the bench. If Bogdanovic makes some shots against Milwaukee (0-7 that game) its possible they start 3-0. Oladipo looks like he is going to pick up where he left off last year as well.
