@ivdamke You're right, I apologize. Shoulda been more clear, my point is that most AAA games still have a dark-haired, tough looking dude, mostly white as protags and I'm just tired of playing that type of characters. The description was aimed at that general type of characters. Only in recent years that has started to change and we got a lot more diversity among male characters as well as lots of women protagonists, both groups of different races and orientations and so on. It's just nice to see more representation and diversity.

I'm actually curious to see in following months some stats percentages between Kass and Alexios. I'm sure Ubi will show some infographic, they did one for Origins if I'm not mistaken.

Ever since reveal, I have been #TeamKassandra. Don't regret my choice, she's just way more interesting imo and way cooler. Alexios just seems, I dunno, boring. Felt the same way about Evie and Jacob from AC: Syndicate, Evie is way better than Jacob and I wish it was possible to play all missions with her. (so happy Odyssey is structured that way!) I'm also super tired and bored of playing the cliche "tough, dark-haired, straight white dudes" who are protags in like 95% of games (all games not just AC) so whenever there's another option I'm gonna choose it.

I've seen others play like you do, but honestly, it shouldn't matter. If you're comfy playing with that kind of finger placement then continue to do it! I've always had my finger placement exactly like Justin258, it just feels natural to me and right hand on the mouse, tho sometimes I switch my mouse to the left side and use the left hand on it but the finger placement on the right hand stays the same (only thumb and pinky is switched).

I usually use a controller these days anyway but speaking of controllers, I feel like I'm a weird person for never using the so-called "claw-grip" and I've seen plenty of people say it's the ideal way to play many games, with the Souls series in particular, it feels so unnatural to me but again, I think everyone should play the way they want to and not care about others hate on that matter.

Here's a gallery someone made of the "claw-grip" https://imgur.com/gallery/n0rfx and I always found it fascinating. I can kinda understand why would one play like this but I just can't do it. Ever since I started gaming, I've almost always had my index finger and middle finger on triggers (L1/L2/R1/R2) and just use my thumbs to super quickly use all the other buttons or sticks. Still, everyone should play however they want to and it's nobody's business.

Side note: Why do you have an anime girl with a swastika armband, presumably doing a nazi gesture as an avatar? Kinda fucked up.

Never experienced it myself, but yeah, playing something shorter might be a good idea. Ideally maybe a short game that you loved? Or maybe a game in a genre you love, whatever the lenght. There's no universal remedy probably, so it's hard to say what would else would be good. Or just extend the break, few weeks might not have been enough, I've heard people go months or years without gaming due to fatigue or other factors. Do something else, search for a totally new hobby that would be an addition to gaming or other hobbies, explore. Gaming is not the only thing in life. (I realize this sounds like a cliche but it's a genuine advice).

Yeah there are some bugs in AC games usually, they're not like crazy game breaking or anything but it can result in some silly glitches. That said, maybe it depends on a person, I don't see anything unpolished or super janky about Odyssey, and I like the voice acting (#TeamKassandra). Clipping and stuff happens in every game and it's a problem every dev struggles with.

To play devil's advocate, You gotta remember that these are incredibly huge open worlds, especially in case of Origins and Odyssey and overall in any open world game you gonna see some bugs. That said, post launch support for Ubi titles is usually very good and they patch stuff/add requested QoL improvements fairly fast, that was the case with Origins and they already announced a roadmap of free events/content + paid stuff for Odyssey. I think having literally around 1000 people from like 8 studios working on 1 title wil result in some bugs as well.

And contrary to some weird popular belief, these games are not made in 1 year just because they are coming out almost every year, Origins and Odyssey were developed almost parallel to each other throughout 3-4 years by a variety of teams working together so that's why you can definitely see some similarities like the UI or gameplay features.

I feel like this might come off as a fan trying to excuse their favorite games/company but despite that there definitely can be some bugs on release, nothing too terrible and they usually fix it fast. I think with time and each title they have less bugs on release. Origins was definitely polished more than usual AC games, while AC Unity which was the first AC game entirely for this gen, gained notoriety for being extremely buggy.

Midnight Club, and make it like Midnight Club LA, I loved that game and since PS4 has a lack of an awesome alternative to Forza Horizon or just arcadey open world racers, I'd love that. I'm saving up for Xbox One S because Forza Horizon series seems like my dream game series so since there won't be another Midnight Club LA, I'm just gonna do the above anyway in a few months.

@liquiddragon New Bioshock is totally being made, there were lots of rumours that one of 2K's studios is working on a new Bioshock, even Jason Shreier reported that and he's a lot of times right and has good sources. Even then, it just makes sense, Bioshock is a big IP. That's probably next-gen tho, seing how we're like 2 years or less away from new gen.

Good, and it was apparently posted by Kodera so the top of the top. I have a feeling Sony is really starting to prepare for next-gen which is obviously coming either in Q4 2019 or somewhere in 2020 so they have recently been focusing on eliminating things that gave them bad PR: downloads are coming to PS NOW (a step to maybe rival gamepass, I predict a price drop), Cross-play, Shawn Layden a few months ago said PSN name changes are coming in the future, so I really get the feeling they will slowly start resolving all the problems and lack of features that have resulted in a lot of negativity around Playstation. PS5 will probably have some requested features as well, like at least BC with PS4, for example.

Bring it on, MS have got some insanely good services this gen so it's good to have a rivalry and maybe Sony will finally start creating alternatives to MS's services and stuff. PS4 is selling extremely well still and they are the leader so they could rest when it comes to PS4, but like I said, coming into next-gen they can't have all that bad PR and they can't lack features the competition has because it might impact the PS5 and the image of the Playstation brand. We know what happened at the start of this gen when MS had huge image issues and negativity around them due to a lot of things. Companies being competetive with each other is almost always good for consumers and in this gen it resulted in stuff like for example gamepass and X1's incredible BC system.

@richardqx: To add to what the poster above said, Chalice Dungeons are mostly procedurally generated optional dungeons with some bosses that don't appear in the main game. I think most people just treat them as some nice side content to have fun with once you finish the game.

If you want more proper Bloodborne, I really recommend the DLC it was originally 2 DLCs but they combined it into 1 so it's quite large and offers a lot. It's regarded as one of the best DLCs in the Souls series, though I wouldn't probably recommend it on "new game +" because you gonna get wrecked, going there during a regular playthrough near the end is probably the best idea.

Goty contender in 2017 thanks to PC, and now thanks to switch release and soon other consoles, GOTY contender in 2018. It's really good and everyone should play it!

Crash Team Racing is all I care about, it's the best kart racer ever in my personal opinion. I played most Mario Karts and they are great but CTR is king for me since I guess I just like Crash series characters way more. CTR gameplay still holds up and drifting around and boosting is super fun especially if you're good at it and can chain boosts to get ultimates. Good selection of tracks (good designs with shortcuts too) , characters and modes and my favorite thing, a really awesome Story Mode. It's one of my favorite games ever and I return to it from time to time. Damn, I was really hoping for a remake after Crash Trilogy came out, maybe someone will do it if Medievil is getting one (love that game too).
