From what Vinny said, everyone has a clone.

With that narrative justification they could even say that the first Beyond Good and Evil is 3 or 5 generations ahead in time in a different galaxy, if they wanted to.

@justin258:Yeah, I think I was one of those people replying to you, lol. Now that I think about it. No worries, is not like I can properly articulate my point anyways. Still trying to figure this one out.

@devise22: My Hero Academia is the hottest new thing along those lines. But if you have Netflix, this article from Polygon helps * the law of "different strokes for different folks" still applies tho: https://www.polygon.com/2018/6/5/17425316/best-netflix-anime-shows-original-series

@zombiepie: Does this mean we'll get a Quick Look complete with the return of creeper cam Jeff?

I agree, Kill la Kill was terrible, but I didn't watch enough of the show to form the same deep-seated hatred that you have for it. "Deep-seated hatred" seems too tame a phrase for your feelings towards Kill la Kill, but I'm not putting in the effort to think of anything else.

Kill La Kill is a strange show and I wanted to hate it along with you on the surface. I even remember being kinda furious at it.

But then I watched the thing and... I liked it, and a lot of people liked it to and became super popular. I do think it's impossible to talk about. There's something to it and I can't even begin to try to explain it what that is.

Like for some reason, my first gut reaction to "Creeper Cam" was : "Wouldn't that be missing the whole point?" following a completely reasonable reply along the lines of: " What the hell are you talking about, are you blind!!!!"

My running theory is that it has so much fan service that you don't even think about it anymore. And that was, in part, the point. It was a show about shame.

@notnert427: I think I needed that episode to remind myself why I liked the show in the first place. Yup 10/10 sounds about right.

Most episodes even tangentially related to Maeve are, naturally, the good ones.

"Straw Hat" Dan.

Probably my favourite E3 moment so far. I will treasure it ( and bury it after I'm dead.)

I played that scene you mentioned on that trailer. It just makes more sense once you do. That guy is a mess and that story is rough and tense. But they made him feel real somehow.

It is a simple as that. The trailer doesn't have a good written story...because it's a trailer. Your point about it being kind of a cheap tactic is valid ; Your point about already knowing how it is without knowing makes this conversation short. Ending with simple but true platitudes about books, their covers and what we should do about them.

Not that Detroit is any kind of master piece. Good or bad, it did not feel like they where being lazy or careless about it.

A lot of criticism for story telling condemns good video game stories for not matching their expectations for what a story is supposed to be as movies and books dictate it.

It's a two step problem. Video game stories can be bad because they try to match a format that does not suit it AND a lot of people demand that stories are not good unless they match expectations for the tried and true formats.

We have been experiencing great video game stories here and there. We just don't recognise them without further analysis.( They still have an effect..so it's not like we invent the notion that we enjoyed them.)

It's not that people don't have any positive feelings about things. We still flock to the things we like. It has more to do with the nature of "commenting".

We are simply more inclined to say something when we feel like complaining. Particularly when we want something to change. When everything is ok ( or better) we feel content enough to say nothing.

It is not as bad as it seems. We just tend to focus on the negativity...Even when a comment section has 20 positive comments, it takes 2 for people to think of it as toxic.

Probably an obvious one, but easy to miss ( took me like 10 hours, missed the prompt and found out on a stream later...): You can transfer items and rucksacks from your parked car to your stockpile directly.

Aggretsuko is fan-fucking-tastic. I just did not expect a clever and fun "Office Space"-like from the hello kitty people.
