It's really not that difficult. Just a little queue manipulation and you'll get new releases without any problems. What's crucial is getting them into your queue before they release. Do that, have them in the #1 position and make sure you've got a slot open on your account for a game to ship on release day and you'll get them consistently. I honestly don't remember the last time I didn't get one this way. In fact, often times they'll ship them the day before they officially release.  It's also good to keep your queue limited to the games you really want to play. I rarely have more than 5 or 6 in there at a time. If there's not a lot going on and I just want to play random stuff then I'll load up my queue. Otherwise I keep it pretty tight. This seems to help and I'm always getting something I'm interested in.

Netflix has  actually stated that it has no intention of merging with Gamefly. The two services are separate and, for all intents and purposes, will stay that way.  As for expecting Netflix like service from Gamefly... it's just not a reality. Netflix deals with $15-$20 pieces of media, in incredibly high demand all over the country, and that take on average 2 hours to watch/use before you're done. Gamefly deals with $60+ pieces of media, that aren't in nearly as much demand, and that people want to keep out and play for hours and hours or days and days. It just can't be like Netflix and be  profitable.

All things considered, for what Gamefly does they've managed to do it exceptionally well. When brick and mortar stores are dropping like flies they continue to grow and expand.

Without renting its just kind of limiting what I could afford to play. Definetly would have to wait a while for any new games.  I gameflyed about 7 games last month for $25.

IMO Ebay and Craigslist are more of a hassle then they’re worth most of the time. Rigged auctions and spam emails, no thanks.

Hahaha... Funny how reviews work, sometimes they are just wrong, nothing like actually playing the game. But yeah not much love out for Damnation, I should be getting it  this week.

Me:

1. Research games, watch gameplay vid, read reviews, play at friends etc.

2.Every game I'm interested in goes through gamefly.

2. The weak games go back right away.

3. If the game is good I either play until I beat it or I buy it and just keep the game.

Found this has saved me on a lot of impulse buys.

Only games I might buy in the coming months is Damnation and Red Faction Guerrilla.

What's your stragety to getting games?

I used to collect concert tickets and coins. Nowadays I don't really collect anything.

Like any modern online company, their CS is to some extent automated. They send a initial response usually from the system, and then someone follows up...in my experience. Any problems I've had have always been resolved in a few days.

Same here, often they're shipping games the next day for me too.  I think I went through about 8 games since april, for $20 that can't be beat.

No issues with gamefly here. I've been using them for a couple years now and uprgraded to the 2 game plan a couple months ago. For $20 and the number of games I play, I can't complain at all.  I usually have about 10 games or less in my que and they ship out pretty fast. Found it helps to drop the game at the post office, but I don't always do it.

I got Godfather 2 like a week after release and then ended up kepping it for $35. Game prices are really good.

Pretty much Gamfly, Netflix and Hulu covers all my entertainment needs.
