Game Of The Year 2016: The Year of VR

Game Of The Year - Hitman

This game had too many things included in its package not to at least consider it for the list. On top of that, the craziness that has happened at my behest in this game is on par with almost nothing. While initially I thought that the episodic release may hurt the game, having time to digest and dissect each area made for a much more enjoyable experience.

Runner-Up - Forza Horizon 3

In terms of open-world racing games, the Forza Horizon series has been very strong. The third release in the franchise proves Playground Games' strength again, this time tackling the Australian wilderness. The recent expansion, Blizzard Mountain, helps add to the case for this game.

Runner-Up #2 - Titanfall 2

Something about adding a very stellar campaign to a competent online shooter made this game so much more than the previous Titanfall. While the current multiplayer scene is very scarce, the multiplayer in Titanfall 2 is some of the best multiplayer shooting I have ever played.
