Not gonna lie, I teared up a little when I heard that intro music followed by Vinny's "Hello, everybody!" I wish Austin had been able to make it, but hey, busy lives, I get it. Really fun reunion, so glad that y'all were able to get together for this.
Did I miss something? Why is Dan's turn being skipped again?
This feels like the most Dan thing ever, but Dan was cleaning out a bathtub full of macaroni and cheese, tripped, and broke his finger. He went about two weeks before getting it checked out, and now his hand is in a splint while it heals. He went out and got doctor's note (from a chiropractor, mind you) saying that he couldn't play games because "his fingey hurt."
I don't know if Dan reads these, but re: the arcade talk, have you heard of or been to Can Can Wonderland in St. Paul? I've never been there myself (I keep meaning to find the time) but they've apparently got a bunch of arcade and pinball machines on free play, there's mini-golf, food and drinks, and they've got a tap wall where you just fill your own glass with whatever beer or cider you want. My partner really loves the place and it sounds like a blast to me.
Still early on, but on the topic of inappropriate movies to show in school, I had to pause and share a story from my high school days that I'll always remember. I was in some sort of computer class, and the computer labs in my school all had one shared wall with a normal classroom, which was mostly just windows. The students were usually facing opposite directions, so the teachers could see each other through the window, but the students couldn't see what was going on in the other classroom without turning around.
Anyway, in the middle of class, out of nowhere, the teacher just blurts out "Did I just see tits?" before stopping the class and going into the other classroom. As it turned out, the other classroom had a substitute teacher, and for some reason, they decided that a good, appropriate movie for a bunch of kids in high school was the very raunchy and crude film Superbad. The movie was quickly turned off and replaced by Office Space instead, and our class was resumed.
I don't know why in God's name Nintendo made a co-op Zelda game and then added a bunch of chaotic competitive elements to it, but damn if it doesn't make for good content. I was just dying through this whole thing. Hope y'all continue it because this was a ton of fun to watch.
