@aistan: For what it's worth, when I first played with her, I absolutely loathed the humming and just muted the game for the rest of the mission when I discovered where that goddamned humming was coming from. It doesn't bother me at all anymore, though, strangely, and now I use her pretty frequently.
@drewbert Hey man, the riot SMG is getting you noticed a lot. Enemies notice missed shots as gunfire, and notice when other dudes are stunned near them, and perceive both of those as an enemy attack. Tranqs don't do that - missed shots are never noticed no matter what, and when enemies are put to sleep by them (different than being stunned - it lasts longer, and is called ZZZ rather than STN), the enemy put to sleep and the enemy who finds them/sees them fall asleep does not perceive it as an attack. Worth noting that several dudes falling asleep will make a dude "check it out", though this is not as bad as the "we are under attack" response the STN weapons cause, like the riot SMG. Additionally, if you hit an enemy in the body with a tranq, they will still fall asleep, it will just take a couple seconds, rather than the instantaneous effect of hitting them in the head. Good luck!
There was this gnarly Kunio-kun PvP brawler game that played kind of like an NES Power Stone. It controlled like River City Ransom, but it was an arena fighter with multi-tiered arenas like in Bio-Freaks and shit like that. It felt pretty progressive and played kinda well, didn't really see that kind of game in that era.
