It wont even work with all Steam games. DS4 support is coming to Steams Controller API, not Steam as a blanket. Fact is very few games use the Steam Controller API (right now).
Unfortunately there are a log of blogs out there linking to a lot of products that claim to double your DS4's battery life. These are unfortunately all BS.
They are just mis labeled and falsely sold DS3 batteries, which are usually only 800mAh which is even less than the DS4 OEM battery which is 1000mAh.
The only way to guarantee a longer battery life on your controller is to get a rock solid no BS battery from a battery website or hobby site. In the video below I outline what I believe is the best pack that you are going to find out there that fits with minimal modifications and improves your battery life.
I develope the DS4Windows tool, currently we have integration with TheGamesDB.net API to retreive and display info about currently playing games in order to orginize user created controller profiles that can be uploaded. The issue is that TheGamesDB.net suffers CONSTANT outtages. I have set the application up with as much caching as I can to cut down on queries, but is GiantBomb capable of handling the sudden additional tens of thousands of queries a day?
@amafi: yea, but it was developed as an open standard, none of the licensing that you have to go through to become XInput compliant... MS reminds me a lot of Apple sometimes.
Saw a message that says Chat so edgework can test stuff today, decided to give it a try but it just sits there saying "Connecting...." and never loads...
EDIT, after a minute or two it says "OK, we give up. The server is just not there." again.
I give up, im just letting my account expire, 3 months is entirely too long to wait for help and not even receive a response... I'm disappointed.
@laika: That worked fine, and to clarify I have also tried from home, work and the bar, each with different ISPs aswell. Also co workers are able to connect fine which is why I tend to think its somthing with my account, though I can't figure what that could be.
