@mooseymcman: I think it'll depend on the games. I'm anticipating using move controllers with Dreams when it comes out. I've watched a few streams and while you can do everything they do with a PS4 controller, those guys making the Move seem really useful.
@mooseymcman:So they did a terrible job by not announcing it right away as well because obviously the internet would jump at pointing out "there's no camera!!", but they've said in an interview that there will be an "all in" bundle that comes with a camera and move controllers.
@austin_walker - might be worth updating that they've at least said there'll be an all in one bundle. The $399 price point is for people like me, who own a camera and who has a move controller or two lying around.
@humanity: The thing I don't like is the coyness and politician like answering of questions. If I ask "is there multiplayer, will I meet other people", don't answer with "well there's a million billion billion planets so you might never encounter someone" because that's not what I want to know. Can me and my buddy try find a way to get together? Will I ever see other players at all or is it me and the NPCs? Saying "yeah its just you and the NPCs" is fine, but just let people know.
This just seems to be the way with Firaxis and it's a real shame. They've such great ideas that come out half baked and usually don't see their full potential until the first or second expansion is released. And that says nothing about the bugs that always inhabit their game. I couldn't finish their first X-Com because the game would randomly crash 30 minutes into a mission and the only way to fix it was to AC cycle my PC.
If I ever check this out it'll be in two years when everything is released for it and there are fan patches that address it.
@planetfunksquad: They could gate it I guess. How much of FF7 could you really visit before you were meant to or needed to? It was pretty linear from what I remember of it. You could have Midgar as one part, then Grasslands/Fort Condor/Junon as the next part. Then over to the Coral Area and on.
And I imagine that, unless it's been said elsewhere, like recent Final Fantasy games this one won't have a world map but will have like a hub system?
