Games of 2017 [under construction]

This list is not ordered but ranked (I had to use numbering to organize the ranks). The exact order would shift within any of these ranks, depending on how I'm feeling that day. I also like this format because it lets me easily add things as I play more and talk about games that aren't necessarily great but are still worth talking about.

Ranking rule-of-thumb

Rank C - A decent game. Probably worth playing, but know what you're getting into.

Rank B - A good game. Would expect most people to enjoy it.

Rank A - A great game. Could point to it as a standard for its genre.

Rank S - This is reserved for games that hit me in a way I can't trust anyone else would feel. I would recommend them to anyone just on the off-chance they have the same reaction. This isn't A+ but a separate holding tank for games I can't rationally assess.
