Today's incredible reviews of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom are a lesson in quality over quantity. I'll gladly pay $70 for a game like this. I'm just not a fan of Game Pass, for nearly $200 a year I rather just buy 3-4 high quality games and actually own them.

The biggest problem with Game Pass lately is the quality of games. For the most part it isn't there. Redfall was another dud. XBOX needs Starfield to hit big. I wonder if Game Pass is having a negative impact on development of games? Why invest so much into one title of very high quality when you can just toss in a bunch of ok games? This is the reason why big releases from Sony and Nintendo are still so popular, the quality is there.

The thing everyone needs to remember is that Game Pass isn't free lol. It's $120 - $180 a year and you will never own the games.

You are paying for those games though with Game Pass, $10 - $15 a month or $120 - $180 a year. As someone who only plays a few big titles a year I find it to be a bad value. I rather just buy the game, on sale if I can, and actually own it versus paying to rent.

You will get a hundred different opinions on this topic lol. Personally I would go for one those slick Asus ROG routers and just be done with it. I did just that and it's been the best home networking upgrade I ever made. Easy to use, easy to setup, and it's a beast that looks awesome.

With the way Jeff left compared to all other staff members, and him also being a co-founder of the site, speculation should be viewed as normal.

Glad Jeff is doing well, now over 6,000 Patron's.

Signed up as well! I followed Jeff when he left GameSpot, signed up here at GB day 1, and signed up for his Patreon day 1. Jeff is a legend and I'm glad he will be continuing to talk about games publicly. I'm excited for the new direction at GB as well as to see what Jeff does.

Also, Jeff just crossed 6,000 Patrons this morning!

Did anyone else notice that Jeff's first podcast was on a Tuesday, that it started before the Bombcast and that it was still going after the Bombcast ended? STILL A THREAT!

Looks like Jeff is quickly approach 6,000 Patrons. I'm so happy that we will continue to hear Jeff talk about games. Jeff's knowledge about games from the past 30+ years, and how he has integrity covering games is something extremely rare to find today.

Signed up for Jeff's Patreon! Nearly 3,500 people signed up and his first podcast is still going live on Twitch as of this writing. So far Nextlander and Jeff are getting my money. Will consider signing back up for GB premium depending on how the new direction goes (really excited that Dan is back!).

Welcome back Dan! I didn't think anything could make me interested in renewing my premium membership but Dan's return does. Will see what happens. Also very excited about all the other new staff additions.

That was the most Giant Bomb type video since there was studio content. It felt fun, had good production values, and brought a lot of energy. I'm excited to see where the site goes with the new staff members. Dan Rykert's return makes me optimistic about the future of the site. That single announcement gives me hope that Giant Bomb will be successful in this new era for the site.

Jeff G said he will be going live in a couple hours on Twitch. We may here more there about why and how he left.
