I would concede but when my kid nephews are over at my parents house and have a chance to play games, they always want to play "Monsters" (PixelJunk Monsters) or "The Flower Game" (Flower) and not Wii Sports Resort or Mario Galaxy... If their not playing games they want to watch a Pixar Bluray. I was a huge Nintendo fan, I waited overnight outside in the cold of a Canadian winter to get my Wii, but the saturation of shallow, vapid games changed my mind. 

I sold mine after 1 year of ownership and 6 months of not using it. The PS3 I put the money towards, on the other hand, gets daily use from both my wife and I.  
 
We haven't really missed the Wii at all.
