So I think the game looks and sounds amazing, and plays really well, everything is really well designed. I think, however, I’m kind of burnt out on Metroidvanias at this point. As good as it all is I feel like I’m doing the same things all over again.

Really great to see this game get some recognition at the game awards. It won in 4 categories which I think is more than any other game this year. Not that the game awards are the end all, be all but it’s great that this game is getting some eyes on it.

The Witcher 3. Such a big, lush world with an incredible main story with great writing and so many side quests that also had great writing and made me care about them. Not to mention even to this day it’s still a fantastic looking game. Never have I been more immersed in a game before. Just an incredible game.

@guardianbob87: The XB1X is super quiet and already exists. My PC is way louder and I built it with sound in mind.

@agn0sis: It actually looks even taller than that in horizontal configuration judging by the controller next to it.

Honestly the design seems like an April fools joke. I really, really hope this will fit on my shelves. Even horizontal (judging by the controller in the photos) it’s going to be close whether or not it will fit. If not my shelves are built into the wall so I would have to literally rebuild the shelving in order for it to fit, this sucks. It baffles me why they couldn’t go with a normal AV form factor of short and deep because that’s how most TV stands/shelves/AV racks are. I was really excited for a new Xbox but now it just seems like it will be a headache.

While watching episode 5 (which I thought was bad) I noticed the HDR seems super dim, especially for Tatooine. I then found out that The Mandalorian is fake HDR, SDR content in an HDR container, much like Red Dead Redemption 2. @sethmode: They must have patched performance then. When I played it on XB1X after launch any time there were a large amount of enemies it turned into a stuttery mess. Certain rooms were bad too, like the mail room was always a bad frame rate even without enemies.

@bisonhero: I’m playing it on a 55” TV 6 feet away. Maybe that’s just a big enough size/distance that it’s not a problem for me. I can’t imagine playing it on a Switch handheld screen though. That’s the one instance I think it would be really hard to read.

@bisonhero: I’ve read all the journal/text logs I’ve gotten and never thought the font size was a problem until I read this thread. I don’t have particularly amazing eyesight either and I tried reading them without my glasses on and could manage it fine.
