I have listened to it a few times, and can say I really like it, once I get past, as colorbrandon posted, the inelegant bridge. The chorus is the hook though, and she knows how to catch people with it. It wasn't a transformation of her sound, just a small evolution. And sometimes, that's all music needs to make us listen.
I used to love buying PC games in the early 90s that were on floppy disc. It's funny how now we look at multiple discs with some sense of abhorrent annoyance, but back then, multiple discs was almost a measure of quality.
I'm one of those idiots who spent nearly $200 on an after market headset, and I still barely use the mic in public matches, and really only ever have it one when on with friends. That said, this next wave of consoles looks more like a battle of what useless crap can we cram in this box, more than anything.
Never did get my car back, but insurance did cover all of my gear from my house. I was in a transition with the car's insurance from what I had in Nova Scotia where I was from, and the ludicrous insurance scam that is ICBC in British Columbia. So because of that, neither wanted to take responsibility for the car.
But I want to echo the sentiments from everyone here who has had that happen to them, that we're all pulling for your friend @AuthenticM: It is fucking amazing to me how I work so hard to have what I have, and some asshole can destroy that in seconds. I never feel violated, but I do feel betrayed by humanity.
Lately, I've been into a lot of biographical, and history books. D-Day by Stephen Ambrose, and (yes really) How to Make Love Like a Pornstar: A Cautionary Tale by Jenna Jameson are two of my favourites I have read in recent months.
Also, anything by A.J. Jacobs is a must read for me.
