I want to go into detail about the two title fights and why I chose who I chose:

Co-Main Event: Mir vs. Carwin for the Interim Heavyweight Title

I can't stand Mir's damn mouth. He talks out of his ass way too much and he doesn't have the right to. Obviously the dude is a great fighter and a former champion, but I don't think he is as good as he thinks he is. Look at his record. Who are the toughest guys he has beat? Antoni Hardonk, once, Tim Sylvia, once, and an old ass Big Nog, once. Not exactly a laundry list of the UFC's toughest heavyweights. With that said, Carwin hasn't exactly fought the best of the best either, but he has finished every one he has faced within three minutes by KO.

If I were a betting man I would bet on Mir to beat Carwin just on experience alone. I chose Carwin as a Brock Lesnar fan because Mir's last fight with Kongo did scare me a little bit. With that said, I truly believe that Brock can beat both of these guys on any night. I also chose Carwin because of my hatred for Mir (as already stated). I would love it if Carwin punched Mir on the jaw and he dropped like a sack of potatoes.

But, if Mir were to win, I would want to see Carwin get a couple of takedowns on him and do a little ground and pound. Why? Lesnar is a far superior wrestler to Carwin. So if Carwin can take down this brand new Frank Mir who now weighs 265, than so can Brock.

Main Event: GSP vs. Hardy for the Undisputed Welterweight Title

To be brusque, Dan Hardy doesn't deserve to be in the same ring as GSP. Once again, I am not denying the skills of Hardy, the dude can brawl with the best of him. But I don't think a guy who barely (in my opinion not at all) beat Marcus Davis, deserves a title shot. Back at UFC 99, Hardy faced off against Davis in a fight that was filled with bad blood leading up to it. Hardy no doubt rocked Davis with that vicious muai thai knee, but that was the ONLY part of the match where Hardy had the upper hand. For the rest of the fight, Davis was on top of Hardy.

GSP needs to finish this fight; not for the fans, but for himself. He needs to prove to himself that he can do more than just take people down and smother them for 25 minutes, which has proven he can do to anybody in the world today. With that in mind, I chose GSP to win by TKO in the 2nd minute of the 3rd round, he will be looking to smother Hardy from opening bell until the ref pulls him off.

UFC Sims: Evans vs. Silva

I simulate the main event from UFC 108: Evans vs. Silva as "Suga" Rashad Evans. Both of these guys have incredible KO capabilities and it should be a great fight on January 2.

Main Event

265 lbs.: Fedor “The Last Emperor” Emelianenko (30-1) vs. Brett “The Grim” Rogers (10-0)

This is Fedor's first fight in Strikeforce and many people out there, including me are hoping for an upset after Fedor refused to sign with the UFC. Aside from Fedor, the whole main card looks fantastic.

What do you think?

UFC 104 Rant (SPOILERS)

***SPOLIERS*** i will be discussing the UFC 104 main event in detail ***SPOLIERS***

No Caption Provided
So i just watched the replay of UFC 104 and i have to say something about the main event. First of all it was a great fight, i never would have thought that machida and shogun would go the distance, but they did and it was nonstop action from beginning to end.

I am a Machida fan and had him winning this fight early in the second on my fantasy. but with that said, SHOGUN GOT ROBBED. He beat lyoto down in every round with his leg and body shots. I had machida winning one, MAYBE two, rounds; but definitely not the fight. Shogun deserves to be the light heavyweight champion.

The good news is is that Lyoto also disagreed with the decision and has agreed to an "immediate rematch" with shogun. That fight will be even better now that Lyoto knows what shogun is capable of.
