I didn't like Mass Effect 1 very much. I loved 2 so much I went back to 1 and actually enjoyed it a lot more. I then played 2 again. I would replay it more times but I've run out of voices for Shepherd. A magnificent game in almost every respect.

92 hours and counting. All the stuff I loved about Fallout 3 with better storytelling, a new world to explore, even more bugs and poorer art direction. What's not to love? Apart from all the bugs and crashing.

Not sure if this counts since it's not technically out yet, but It blew up in 2010.
Pure fun gameplay, tapping right into the part of my brain that was addicted to Lego for 10 years.

So good and so bad at once. Awful gameplay and graphics mixed with a legitimately interesting plot, quirky and entertaining characters and some of the best bad game awesomeness ever. Dart guns!

An excuse to play more Mount and Blade you say? Yes please. With new stuff as well? Even better!

A wonderful, if janky, blend of Deus Ex and Mass Effect. Enjoyed this much more than I expected and for £5 in the Christmas steam sale, it was very good value.

I don't even like RTSs and I enjoyed Starcraft. I even got into multiplayer! Didn't see this coming in 2009.

Addictive gameplay, great music.

Just really fun. I wish there were more levels though.
