I love this dumb stuff.

I didn't know about rave.dj then, but last Christmas I made a WAP x Minuit Chrétien (french version of Oh Holy Nights) mashup for one of my friend. I hope it's OK to post the link here

I thought it was very funny that WAP starts when the dude sings about people being on their knees...

Yeah Gloomhaven in a camping trip sounds like a mess. It’s not the longest game, but the setup and the number of components is pretty complicated, so I’d say avoid bringing it on a camping trip. Even Jaws of the Lions is a complicated set-up.

@facelessryan: I mean if you’re a beginner you wouldn’t want to start with anything close to death metal I feel? I’d love to play Metal eventually but most of it is very difficult.

I’ve started learning guitar a month ago and I can do a few simple rock riffs, Rocksmith is good as a practicing tool but not as a learning tool I feel, it helps just getting used to the guitar and practicing changing frets and strings without looking, but as for technique it’s very lacking and what is there doesn’t feel well organized at all.

Ghost Trick. June 19th 2010 still counts?

It’s Ghost Trick, I’d have a hard time explaining it because of the number of moving parts but it’s such an holy shit moment, knowingly funny and out there but still heartwarming and touching.

Missile is the best.

@the_nubster: I got this on Xbox Series X in performance mode. It's fairly easy to notice on my TV when I'm close enough to it.

Frankly I just assumed it was the game's graphics. It's a fairly minor issue that could be caused by a ton of different reasons, especially in how the game treats its textures. Yakuza games never have been graphical powerhouse either. Maybe an option on PC will help, but on Xbox I just accepted it'll look like this.

I feel like so many incredible indies will go ignored this year. Obviously GB can’t be expected to look at everything and they’ve always been more focused on mainstream stuff, which is absolutely fine, but on my side I feel like my top 10 will be mostly if not all indies that didn’t get Hades level of press.

Kentucky Route Zero is an obvious one, I also LOVED Post-Void which is my favourite shooter since DOOM 2016 (eternal is not bad but still a big disappointment to me), Tales from Off Peak City is a surreal walking simulator with amazing level design, Paradise Killer is a great whodunit with a lot of player agency, Röki is a super well made « classic » adventure game, there’s a lot!

Absolutely one of my favourite game of the year. I love these very small scope « pure » game, I think something like this or super hexagon are perfect examples of this.

I got to level 7 so far. I feel like I can eventually finish it!

Just started it. Not sure about it so far, I love the style but it's been heavy on the writing in a way that makes me think it'll work more as a visual novel than a detective game. For me it'll be hard to beat Obra Dinn as a game that makes you feel like you're deducing stuff, but I'm still eager to see where it goes.

I won’t say this is not fucked because it is. What surprises me is that I feel this is not the first time I see this? Hell I remember seeing ads for America’s Army with a « Do it for real » tag on gamespot in the 360 era, but I might be mistaken. Also I know this more than just a banner ads but ad revenue not being what it used to be, it’s just expected imo for them to turn to sponsored content like this. At the end of the day any publicity for the army is bad, I’m just surprised that particular one is the one that made so many angry but then again I might be misremembering stuff.

I don’t think any editor had much to say on the matter, I hope those to blame do get the blame. I do think it’s endemic of a bigger issue and I’d understand if anyone at GB or Gamespot refrain from talking about it out of fear of losing their jobs though.

Hi! Just wanted to have a thread to talk a little bit about Flight Simulator, how are you enjoying it, what you wish would be better?

Specifically I’d like to have a place to share fun adventures you’d think other people would like to try. I did the whole tutorial and quite enjoyed it, but now I’m a little overwhelmed at what to do next. I’m playing with almost every assist on for now, I just wanna fly around and have fun for a while before maybe trying to progressively remove assists.

Also I am a taker for any beginner tips. Like how am I supposed to know what is my cruise altitude after take-off? Even with all assists on I have no idea when I am supposed to stop going up.

Still just for now I enjoyed it quite a bit just for virtual tourism. The fact that you can change the weather on the fly is amazing, spawning a storm and trying to fly through it is an incredible experience. I’ll probably try to do a flight while listening to the hotspot tomorrow, I was thinking of just going from my city to my parents’ house just to see how Bing interprets these places I know very well.
