E3 2010 Most Anticipated Games

E3 2010 Most Anticipated Games

Yeah, I made this list for the quest.

List items

  • I didn't know what to expect from this game seeing this at E3 last year. All I knew from the debut trailer was that it involves mecha Raiden from MGS4 and something called "Lightning Bolt Action". Kojima likes to keep secrets one year and impresses on the following year because the cut mechanic in this game looks awesome. Not to sound too sadistic but I love the part in the E3 trailer where Raiden was chopping up a soldier, dieting him as if her were a frog in biology class, in bullet-time slow motion. Hopefully we'll see more if this later this year, but I'm already stoked for this game.

  • The Need for Speed and Burnout series have been my favorite racing franchises since the release of Need for Speed Underground 2 and Burnout 3: Takedown about five years ago. For I while, I thought "what if the Burnout team made a Need for Speed game". And By the end of this year that will be a reality with this upcoming title. I can't wait to see how Criterion will influence Need for Speed by developing this game, and seeing what elements of Burnout will be in this game.

  • So Link is no longer left handed, as I am no longer nonchalant towards me Wii. I didn't get Twilight Princess for the Wii mainly because it's originally a GameCube game, and seeing a Zelda game that is being made specifically for the Wii is actually pretty interesting. I've yet to buy the Motion Plus attachment because of my lack of interest of recent Wii titles, so I'll have to get that in addition to this game next year.

  • I'm one of those people who first knew about Kid Icarus because of Super Smash Bros Brawl, though I've eventually heard about his games on the NES and GameBoy. So even though Uprising is the revival of an old Nintendo franchise, it's still fairly new to me because of my limited knowledge about the franchise. History aside, I am interested in this game as well as the 3DS. I see this as one of the first titles that I'll buy along side the new handheld.

  • I've been hearing a bit about Bulletstorm for at least a month before E3. The fact the Epic Games is working on this game is the biggest pull for me considering that I like Gears of War. I liked the trailer. The dialogue was kinda funny as I'm sure it was intended to be ridiculous (like Bayonetta saying "bust a cap in yo' ass"). And the gameplay looks equally ridiculous and fun as metal doors were kicked onto enemies, turning them into globs of blood as the door smashes them into a wall. I have more of an interest in unconventional first-person shooters such as Borderlands, so I'd like to play this soon. Hopefully I'll see a downloadable demo on XBL later this year.

  • My interest in this game relies largely on Kingdom Hearts because of it being a recent and successful franchise to include Disney characters. But his game apparently isn't an action RPG by Square Enix, so my expectations have changed a bit before seeing the E3 trailer. After watching the trailer, I'm not completely stoked about this games since I'm not really into games like Okami, but I'm willing to try it out, and maybe I'll end up really like it, just as the Kingdom Hearts games have.

  • All I know about this game is what I saw at E3. I don't know anything about the Parasite Eve series, but my ignorance of it makes this game more interesting.
