As someone who never experienced and therefore has no nostalgia for the early days of computers and internet, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this game. Gameplay-wise it reminds me a lot of Uplink, the hacker game by the Introversion guys, except Digital is infinitely more playable. Uplink is confusing even after the tutorials. Despite the trappings being completely different, I feel like Persona 4 is some sort of kin to Mass Effect 2. Both have strong core gameplay, but what puts them over the top, what makes them extraordinary and memorable are the characters. A Delight 0

More than anything this game just makes me happy. Part of it is nostalgia I'm sure, but I played through the game again recently and I like it even more now than I did when I was younger. The characters, the world, the story, everything about it is so charming. That's not to say the game is all sunshine; plenty of tragic shit happens, but because of the characters it feels more like you're on an adventure rather than an arduous journey to save the world like many RPGs.
