@raven10: I know the combat is supposed to be good but in my 50 hours of gameplay I never enjoyed it, and I was getting 5 stars left and right which leads me to believe I was playing it right. I may have exaggerated the battle length since I didn't actually have a timer to gauge how quick the fights were but they definitely felt that long to me. I never had fun in any fight in FF13, and even when a lot of people did I'm not going to sugar coat it because at that point I'm just being dishonest.

I also never felt like lightning came into her own over the game either. There was certainly some good backstory (Which i plan to highlight in the next part) but I don't think they do enough with it to justify her being the protagonist. And I don't think "being along for the ride" justifies her being the protagonist either, because I think that's just an inherently shitty way tot ell a story. It's like if all of Superman was told from jimmy Olsen's point of view. Yeah you might be able tot ell a good story from that point of view but it wouldn't be able to last and it wouldn't change the protagonist being Superman.

Also this isn't a gradual descent into FF13, this is more a very in depth review as highlighted in part 1. Thank you for reading regardless, i really appreciate it and all the comments.

I am cautiously optimistic! I actually thought he Xbone conference was really good, they showed off some cool stuff like Titanfall and Sunset Overdrive. But I can't say they showed anything that makes me want to jump up and buy an Xbone even without the DRM shit filter. I'm really cautious and while I respect Microsoft for removing the DRM, most of the next gen games I want are multiplat (MGSV, FFXV, Destiny) and I'm not sure they don't have something potentially worse up their sleeve.

Still getting dat ps4. I'm just feeling Sony more on this one. They've been good to me this gen, and all the series I really want are still playstation only, plus it's still the cheaper option. Xbone just doesn't have nothin' I want.

But I gots to give props to Microsoft. They actually listened and completely changed their business model because of the outrage. I respect that.

Man i love me some supanatural Bats. Only problem I gots with that is it kinda paints that play style in a more negative light y'know? I don't want to try and like say "This play style is superior to this play style" and having a big ass shadow bats looks a little evil. It'd also be a hella lotta work to do all those cap physics.

Although if there was like, a DLC pack about Batman at halloween I think it'd be cool to have a shadow bats exclusively, and that shadow bats changes depending on style. You get all violent, you end up looking like Man Bat, you be stealthy you all a living shadow. If you ain't checked it yet, there's an animated short called "Have I Got A Story For You!" and it's all about these skater punks who be seeing Bats 'round the city, but they be seeing him all monstrous and shit.

I'd watch something freaky like Deadly Premonition or really Japanese like Persona 4 because of all the riffing material, but Chrono Trigger seems like something you should play by yourself. they just need the right game that's weird enough to be funny but vcoolorful enough to be fun to watch-DRAGONBALL GAMES.
