On the podcast there was a question about Quick Looks and how they prepare for it.

I was thinking it might be time for a slightly different format where they record their first 20/30 minutes with the game and then another 20/30 minutes where they are further in. That way you get their initial impression and a more overall opinion. This was done before with God of War and Death Stranding (I think) and I think this is really interesting. Capturing that first reaction is awesome and then see if that reflects their later opinion on it.

Do movie reviews keep in mind the VFX studio’s working conditions? Do hardware reviews (phones, computers, etc)? None do.

I think it will be a good idea to have a site dedicated to review working conditions and link them to the products. Like give the new iPhone a score based on how it is produced. Maybe if that takes off and it even becomes some sort of label (a green ‘good working conditions’-sticker), the companies start to care about it and improve the labor conditions.

I don't like the design. Every video looks the same right now, you really have to study to pick out the quick looks from the other video's, etc. Every category should have something that sets it apart.

Also the big 'thumbnail' on the latest video feels really low-res and it's not good for the site's look, feels cheap.

And I agree with everything taking up way too much space and is too big, I know the avarage age (myself included) is somewhat higher here than on other gaming sites, but we're not 80 years old yet. : )

I made a small mockup for making the video-thumbnails a bit more recognizable by category. And it saves some space as well by layering it over the thumbnail itself.

They pulled the Monster Hunter quick look as well.. I watched the whole thing on Youtube and the only thing I noticed was that Jason's footage had some weird audio artifacts on the game audio. Maybe they are fixing that as well?

Man, where can I buy more time to play all these games I've missed this year. If from now on no more games would release I would be good for another 3 years for sure.

Is the gameplay a direct copy of the first one (in terms of how it controls and such)? Because I've played the New Order after finishing Doom 2016 and it was kind of rough to play sometimes on console. (aiming and weapon switching did not feel that great).

I watched the two Stephen King Netflix movies, they were alright, but don't ascend the quality of most blockbuster horror flicks.

I'm talking about Gerald's Game and 1922. I would give them a 7/10 or something. Well told and acted (holy shit, is that Thomas Jane, yes it is!) and one of the two has a very gory scene that I could barely watch. That was some truly well made make-up effects (and some digital effects probably).

Agree. Just leave and let those who want to stay stay in peace.

In the end it's just a platform owned by an asshole (mind you: not a criminal, just an asshole). I can assure you guys: you are using a whole lot of products owned by assholes. This world is filled with them.

Same. I never heard something so ridiculous in F1 and I'm watching it since '94.
