Man, Platinum Games is just unstoppable, isn't it. If they do something, they get it right. How many of their games have been anything less than awesome up until now?
I just finished it yesterday. It's absolutely fantastic, and my favourite out of all these games so far, though I'm aware that I'm still within the release window hype slipstream on that front. I loved all the fanservice and callbacks to the previous games though.
This is insane. The gulf in experience and knowledge between Vinny's crew and these guys is... intense. This is a fantastic way to cap off this whole thing.
Thanks for doing this Greg, this was very interesting. For my part, I remember getting hooked on perusing Gamespot's various features because I came across video reviews by you and Ryan Davis, years and years ago, which has ultimately led me to Giant Bomb, so that part of my life can be traced back in large part to you! I've greatly enjoyed Bastion and Transistor as well. As such, to me it seems that you were born to work in video games, on both sides of the industry. It's worked out for you, at least, so there's no reason to think that you should have broader interests.
I can't imagine only seeing my family once every two weeks, especially when you're raising a 2-year-old. I'm glad it worked out for you, because that must've taken an extraordinary amount of courage and dedication, both from you and your wife. I can't imagine having the courage. Good on you for having pulled through.
I hope your next project works out as well. You have this community's full support, for what it's worth, at least!
