Cool Guy Tetris 0

When I was a little boy, I use to spend a lot of time on the Nintendo Gameboy. You know the one, heavy, bulky and grey. Powered by four (FOUR!?) AA batteries and I am pretty sure you could knock someone out with it if you gave it a good go. Besides the bulk of the system in question, the game I would play the most unsurprisingly was Tetris. I would spend hours upon hours rotating all the tetriminos into place, lining them up just right and somehow still being laughably bad and failing after a s...

Pac-Man: CE2 reminds us just how special DX was 0

Like most people I spent a fair few hours when Pac-Man: Championship Edition DX was released. The sounds and the visuals came together to create something truly remarkable, it was hard to believe that Pac-Man could be so fun and relevant in the year 2010. Fast forward six years and the time has come for Pac-Man: Championship Edition 2 (keep in mind no DX). As you jump into the game after the short and sweet tutorial, you are overcome with the feeling of fast paced Pac-Man just like you remember ...

Batman for the Batfans 0

First off, let’s just get it out there and say Batman is the greatest superhero of all time right? Good, I am glad we can agree on this. What other superhero has transition throughout each decade with as much ease as Batman. It’s hard to think that when Adam West played him all these years ago with his over the top campiness that we would eventually end up with The Dark Knight.Get The Shark Repellent! The reason the character can be called the best without a doubt is the story that m...

Do not stray from the beaten path 0

You walk down a long hallway, a linear path if you will. It’s a nice looking hallway but you feel its missing something, maybe you could try going through one of these doors, there are many doors in this hallway. To no avail, stay on your path, its a waste of time trying to stray from the beaten path so why bother? Turns out that all the nice looking doors are all locked anyway, so you must continue down this long hallway to have some sort of purpose or fulfillment. With limited room to exp...

The number is so wrong, I don't want it to be right 0

Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number is a bizarre game to say the least. Being heralded by it’s creators as “The last game in the saga” it has a lot to live up to after the first was such a loved game critically and commercially. The first thing that you will notice as soon as you play is that graphics and gameplay wise the game seems near identical to its predecessor, if not exactly the same. Not that this is necessarily a bad thing, it’s more of a “if it ain’t broke...

Finally a Half Decent Sonic Game 0

Sonic, now there is a franchise that has had ups and downs in the last decade. Sega has tried to do there best to make sure Sonic can do as good as the Genesis/Mega Drive days but repeatedly has failed. On the 20 anniversary they hope to set the old hedgehog back on track and they succeed. Sort of.We start off in the Green Hill Zone completely in 2D and the whole nostalgia takes off, the music, the enemies and the overall feel. Sonic feels just what he should be, fast and fun. The next act takes...
