Persona 5 is way worse than Nier. That's a pervy game.

Just came back from watching it. Way too many things to talk about to even try to break it down without watching it again, but I honestly think this is the worst Star Wars movie (trilogy, sequels and Rogue One) they've made. I'm not saying it's absolute trash, and it might not have as many cringey moments as some of the prequels stuff, but this was a rough watch for me from beginning to end.

I dunno, maybe it's just that the first sequence left such a bad taste in my mouth. I was even getting really excited when the crawl started and everything, but then they start with that ? "Here's this awesome monster of a ship that's gonna blow the rebels away and be a clear antagonist through the movie aaaaand it's gone". What the fuck was that ? But even not considering that, the central conceit of the main story plot is so incredibly bad. And then you throw in all the references and jokes and eye-rolley dialogue. I dunno... Maybe it's not as bad as the prequels, but it sure comes close.

I felt the same way. I was so excited, read the crawl and then they open with some of the worst comedy in star wars history, just completely stupid interaction between Poe and Hux, which sets the stage for Hux being a Buffoon of a character the entire movie and Poe being an annoying smart ass with none of the Han Solo charm or character. I can't remember the lines exactly but I'm pretty sure there was a mom joke in there somewhere? I know it's kinda dumb to take Star Wars so seriously but when you have such anticipation for a movie, especially a series that is known for having serious dramatic openings, and you get that? It felt like it was a Scary Movie parody of a Star Wars scene. It was that bad.

I loved everything to do with Rey and Kylo. Their relationship is awesome. They didn't take it far enough in my opinion. They needed to have Rey join him and have the plot go completely crazy.

Everything else felt rushed and boring. Finn and Poe feel like tacked on characters. So many scenes seemed to be padding the length of the movie. Most of the jokes were bad.

I don't know, I'm disappointed in it. But I love Adam Driver and Daisey Rdiley's performances.

I really like Big Fish Theory, but Vince Staples first album Summertime '06 is amazing. Everyone listen to that album.

While I think the character seems awesome, especially since my favorite is zenyatta, it also makes me wonder how many more new heroes this game can have before it becomes to much. The nature of this game being a shooter makes it a lot different than mobas, I don't think Overwatch can support 40+ heroes, never mind 100+. Orisa and Moira have already been mashups of other heroes. Maybe they need to just release 2 characters a year instead of the roughly 4 a year pace they are on now.

I bought the game and have fun playing it without worrying about micro transactions. I didn't buy battlefront 1 because of how little content it had and how the hero system worked. They changed that stuff and I've been greatly enjoying the game.

@justin258: I guess I haven't played a single game that has ever made me feel like I'm being forced to spend real money on micro transactions besides mobile games. I also have no clue whether game prices needing to be increased is bullshit or not because I don't work in the game industry and I have no factual information on that, I just know people have been talking about how the $60 price tag on games is not enough profit for years now, unless of course the game sells millions of copies.

I've played a ton of shadow of war and have had lots of fun without spending a dime. I spent money on cosmetics in games like Titanfall 2 and Overwatch because I wanted to, because I played hours and hours of those games and really enjoyed them. I've never spent money on xp boosts or progress boosts in any games because that seems silly. I've really never felt cheated by any game I've spent $60 on that has micro transactions. Sure, the loot box drop rate in Overwatch in pretty shitty, and it is gambling. But I wasn't forced to purchase any of them and they didn't lock the games content behind a pay wall. I guess I've just never once felt a game is fucking me over with micro transactions, besides of course mobile games like Clash Royale.

Being bugged to spend money is definitely annoying, I agree. But I haven't felt like I've been fucked over yet. Now if it ever did get to the point where I had to pay $60 and it didn't include the full game, or if in a competitive game I was forced to spend money to get a certain weapon or a perk that you could get no other way, then I just won't buy that game. But so far I've never felt like that's happened.

This is better than them raising the price of games to $70 or $80 so whatever.

I'm completely confused as to why anyone would want to play Cuphead with invincibility. The bosses take 2 minutes to beat, you will be done with the game in 45 minutes. Without the challenge there really isn't anything to the game. Why not just watch a Twitch streamer play it or watch a Youtube play through?

I agree that games with story, like Divinity or Mass Effect or Uncharted could have easy modes because there is still plenty of other things worth experiencing, but Cuphead is just not one of those games.

I also don't think it would be the developers intention to take the game that they worked so hard to fine tune the difficulty and to base the entire experience around the difficulty to then just say here you want to not play the game? OK.

This was never a conversation about any of the Souls games or Super Meat Boy. Not sure why this is being brought up about Cuphead.
