@rayeth: Well just one PC alone there are 16,642,946 sales of minecraft. Now some of those are were sold for different prices. It is currently sold for 26.95 USD. So lets average it to 15 dollars a copy, pretty sure that's an under valuing since more people (kids mostly) have bought it in the recent years not getting it in the alpha for 10 bucks. 16,642,946 * 15 = $249,644,190. Now we have the Xbox version which has sold over 12 million copies for 20 dollars which is another $144,000,000. I've heard that the ps3 version had sold over million copies ( in January of this year, so lets add another million in there for good measure) which means its sold at least $40,000,000.
Pocket edition has sold 10 million at 7 bucks a pop which adds another $70,000,000.Not to mention the ps4 and Xbone version which is probably sell a shitload more units. So the total estimation revenue of minecraft would be $503,644,190. Now this isn't accounting for taxes and other bullshit but it gives you a rough estimate of just its value alone. Another great thing about Minecraft is its a household name, its the new lego. Most kids in the US have played or seen minecraft. The brand alone should be worth 2 billion in the long run, because at this point Minecraft is a fad its a fucking tank rolling up a mountain of money.
