There are no words. I am gutted. You have all been a part of my life since 2010. It's impossible to count the number of laughs and hours of sincere, quality content I experienced with you guys. Even writing it out like "content" feels too cold and dull, you were my inner circle, my go-to's. Thank you so much for everything, I'm a better person because of you all.
I wish you the best in your future endeavors and hope you're all able to take some RNR before jumping back in it.
Hey, I'm trying to find the episode on which Jeff mentioned a casual game he was playing on his phone. Knowing Jeff it was probably a clicker but I can't seem to find it. The one thing I remember him talking about is a piggy bank in the game that gets filled up as you spend resources and then him spending $3 to unlock it.
Anybody remember the name of the game or which episode he mentioned it in?
I've been having the same thoughts lately. Should I just give up Destiny and sell it? I don't have time to grind out everything and be hardcore. I've mostly been playing PvP since it's a good short-burst experience and doing some bounties that way. I'd really like to see some of the heroics in play and the first raid but when I check DestinyLFG it's all lvl 31 peeps. I'm currently at 25. I have no clue how to find someone to be a noob with me :D
I was really surprised by how touching and sincere this piece ended up being. We love you too, Patrick. You're forever an important part of this silly internet family Giantbomb has created. I hope you never forget that. And if Ryan's passing taught me anything, it's that internet friends are as real and true as real world friends.
As for the story, Beer is just a dude with an opinion and a chip on his shoulder. He was out of line but how Fish reacted is worse than what Beer did. "The internet is being mean so I'm not making Fez 2. There!" Really? Really? The way Blow handled it is exactly the way a man in his position should handle it. Be polite, be honest and be concise. There's no need to drag it out and make a whole thing out of it. It's just giving more ammo to the people you should ignore. As a public person (persona?) you're not allowed to throw twitter tantrums and be disrespectful no matter how "indie" you are.
I've been following GiantBomb since 2008 and I rarely post anything. But this... I feel like I lost a good friend event though we never met or had any contact. I'm at a loss for words. I'm angry. I'm horrified. I have a huge lump in my throat that I just can't seem to swallow. Good bye old friend. We never met but you meant a lot to me and I'll miss you. Thank you for everything. Rest in peace.
