Chandoo's Borderlands Review of Mild Hypeness 0

Disclaimer : The following review was written based on my experience playing the game in single player mode. I understand some interactions may be different when playing it in Co-Op with others, so take it with a grain of salt.   Ah Borderlands, ever so convoluted and seemingly always delayed. It's finally here and is quite different from the game it had been originally pitched as, cosmetically if not anything else. The world of Pandora can be pretty fun if you go in with the pro...

[Prototype] Review 0

It’s summer time, that means the slew of annual block buster titles with high production values and even higher advertisement budgets are upon us. This year in particular has seen the return of the Open-World game play genre in full force, with the popular GTA IV expansion "Lost and Damned" earlier this year, and PS3 exclusive inFAMOUS just before it, Prototype is now upon us. Prototype is a game with a very convoluted development history, announced as one of the earliest titles in development f...

A Resident Evil 5 Review 0

It’s been 4 years in the making. But it’s finally here. Resident Evil 5, the latest entry in Capcom’s acclaimed Resident Evil franchise has finally hit the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360. Featuring drastic changes from the past Resident Evil games, this game promises to entertain old and new fans alike. Here are my thoughts...The latest entry in the series puts the players in the shoes of one Chris Redfield. The star of the first Resident Evil game and widely considered as the central hero of th...

Star Ocean : First Departure Review 0

When people think of the JRPG genre, the first thing they associate it is with Final Fantasy, and if you’re someone hardcore, Dragon Quest. It’s a bit unfortunate that a lot of good JRPG’s get swamped in the cross fire and never get the praise they deserve. Enix’s Star Ocean was one of these games.Originally released for the SNES in 1996, this was one of those late games that was never released outside of Japan, and most of the world never got to experience it. Years later many ambitious fan c...

A Cute Little Monstrous Adventure Indeed 0

This is one of the things I love about the PSP the most, it gives me the opportunity to play odd-ball games like this that I would have never played on purpose before. But I’m glad that’s the case because experiments like this often lead me to hidden gem’s like Gurumin which I would like to review, so that the game will get some much needed exposure here.At its core the game is an action RPG not so unlike the kingdom hearts games (albeit a lot more slow and RPG like as opposed to the action heav...

Persona 3 Review : A Unique Experience 0

Shin Megami Tensei Persona 3 is actually the third part of the Persona sub series of Shin Megami Tensei games, but since no one gives a fuck about the first two lets just call it Persona for our review. To get this off the bat, this series is as far away from final fantasy as you can get, SMT games have always had very dark story lines and characters which revolve around devils, demons apocalypses etc (for those who dont know DMC’s Dante made a guest appearance in the last good Shin Megami game...

Killer 7 Review 0

Coming from the brain of the great Suda 51, Killer 7 is without a doubt one of the best most original games ever created. Killer 7 was once one of the prime game of the "Capcom 5" that Capcom created exclusively for the Nintendo Gamecube. But some creative decisions later killer 7 eventually found its way to the PS2 as well, no matter what console, the game is amazing and everyone should give it a try.   Dan the man, my personal favorite Killer 7.  Concept: Killer 7 is basically a mixture ...

Resident Evil 4 Review : Evil Evolves 0

Resident Evil 4. Where do I even begin. Probably one of the best games ever made. This game is however not without its share of controversies. Originally Resident Evil 4 was conceived for the PlayStation 2 way back in 2001. But that year Resident Evil series creator Shinji Mikami struck an exclusive deal with Nintendo to make at least 4 exclusive Resident Evil titles for their Nintendo GameCube. The PS2 fans were heartbroken. Thankfully the death of RE4 on the PS2 gave birth to an equally awes...
