Nintendo should not get out of the console business as a lot of people think. I like that we have somebody in this business that makes games where we interact and control games in unique and interesting ways. Not just with a gamepad controller or a mouse and keyboard. I really hope Nintendo finds success with this system despite some of my misgivings over what they showed (or lack thereof) last night.
Indeed the more I engaged with the gameplay mechanics the further I felt from the real gem at the core of this game: feeling lost and alone, picking my way through hostile systems, where sometimes the stars would align and I’d catch a glimpse of something beautiful.
I was sure No Man's Sky was gonna take it. The only thing I've seen of NimbleAmerica is that Too Big to Jail billboard and that Palmer was giving money to people who were also mods at r/the_Donald. It did color my opinion of him as a person but not of Oculus. The relationship between companies and general shittiness of their executives is a fickle thing.
