Whenever they do these re-releases I always scratch my head in disbelief when I see stuff NOBODY would ever want to play like Backgammon or Blackjack. Like who would WANT to play the 2800 version of Backgammon? There's probably a gazillion free ways of doing it wayyy better.
I don't know. It looks bad on the whole package.
I feel like some collections do it better than others. As far as padding out the number of games by loading in crap, this collection is one of the worst offenders I've ever seen. And I foolishly bought both volumes on day one.
I kinda knew what i was getting into and wanted a copy of breakout and adventure and knew im never gonna play "basketball"
I feel bad for someone who just sees FIFTY GAMES! though
the collection software itself is good though. the clarity is the best ive seen.
The Pro controller being a separate purchase kinda stings, but the pricing of this thing is important. Nintendo is now a solo hardware company, so it is crucial that they get as many systems out there to get the software sales going.
To the casual shopper, this thing is going to look like an Amazon Fire or Galaxy Tab. Nintendo needs to set a price on this thing that takes that into account, or the system will sit on shelves.
$249 needs to the be the ceiling. Any higher than that and it collects dust by summertime.
not a chance its only 250. 349 is my guess. at the very least
I haven't enjoyed a Nintendo game since before I got a super nintendo and then all I did was play street fighter 2, fzero, rented a million games and then got Mortal Kombat 2 before I never needed to own another SNES game. I eventually got a Playstation but already had a PC and it just collected dust. My mom eventually sold it for me to get a ski pass but never told me. It didn't matter I had a computer and never looked back. Since then I have owned a PS 2, PS 3, Xbox 360, PS 4 but always had a top of the line gaming PC. Now a days I wouldn't even dream of playing a Nintendo game and I kind of think its like "whats the point?" there are way better games. If you want nostalgia play Quake. It is still the best game ever made and NES games are not any good in 2016. I guess some people will enjoy the subpar emulator in a box though since there is a market for nintendo fanboys.
