It’s weird that I heard all this gloating online from certain groups that the PS5 UI is running at 4K while the Series X dash is only at 1080 - and yet everything still seems so bloated. There’s all this needlessly dead space around the icons and when they do enlarge you get 4 boxes per screen with text that runs off. This sort of UI kind of makes sense on a 27” monitor but it’s terrible for 50”+ inch TVs. The PS4 XMB had similar issues with how little information it relayed to you at a time but the new ones seems to lean into this design choice even more.
Agree with all of this, it makes terrible use of space in a lot of places. Why doesn't it show more than eight games on that bar? Not like they're using the space to the right of it for anything else.
Another example that you didn't see in this video is that full-size notifications on the home screen pop up smack dab on top of the icons for user profile, settings, and search. I've had cases where I logged in and had it pop notifications for 45 seconds where I couldn't even see those controls to use them until it finished. Meanwhile there's a giant notification-sized empty space right underneath them!
I know this is a lot of nitpicking but all these little irks add up, and you want your sleek new console to have an equally sleek interface.
@octaslash: Other videos show 4k/60 so this has to be a capture problem, but if you really want to know.. wait for DF's video I guess. Maybe it even has 120hz support for 1080p :P
It's a problem with my capture setup that's been driving me up the wall for months. Not sure if it's related to OBS or the Elgato card I'm using, but there aren't exactly a lot of switches and knobs to fiddle with in that pipeline so I don't have a lot of ideas for correcting it.
Correction for this episode re: my comment that USB-C headsets work on the DualSense: Kinda Funny got out there and clarified that their footage had been misconstrued, and they were in fact only charging the controller on that port. So it's unknown if a USB-C headset will work or not (but I'd guess not).
This ending though is unfixable whatever they added. Bioware killed Mass Effect before EA could have even lay their dirty fingers on it. Fuck this game!
EA acquired Bioware a month before the first Mass Effect shipped, they had pleeeenty of influence over where this trilogy went.

@bacongames: Sad to say I'm with you on this. A couple songs from the first game felt like tracks from a long lost Genesis soundtrack and this doesn't have anything nearly as memorable so far. Really fun, rewarding, hateful, awful, fantastic game though.
The lag that they have when doing co-op is not due to a PS4 being on WiFi. I play Modern Warfare just fine on PS4 on WiFi
That's in your house with your own hardware. It's not that wifi is inherently unusable, it's that it's much more prone to problems in a given person's setting. Could be a lot of concrete and metal in Rorie's walls, or neighbors' overlapping hotspots polluting the spectrum. A cable eliminates all that potential interference.
