@vikingrk: Toronto here, was trying all day when I really should have been working. No luck anywhere and even watching Amazon and Bestbuy like a hawk I must have blinked and missed when they were actually for sale.

Not a big deal, I can wait but I would just like to be able to place the order and not have to run around like this. If I can pre-order almost any Apple product with the expectation that I will get it when they get it to me, why can't theses retailers just do that?

2020 has been a venereal disease of a year, and doesn't look like it will get much better by the end of it. It has been horrifying to watch competence and intelligence just get drowned out by ignorance and stupidity.

I am probably the worst person to be giving any kind of advice in this, but hang in there. You are stronger than you think, and time will pass.

Stay strong, stay safe, and stay healthy.

Toronto here, I've been lucky enough to be still working (I am the HR Manager at a Long Term Care Centre here in Toronto), so my work/life balance has stayed pretty much the same. Just working a whole lot of extra hours and mentally preparing my staff for when Covid comes into the home (we have to date been COvid free when a lot of other places are/were having nasty outbreaks).

I'm an introvert and really don't have much to do with people other than my wife, so I have adapted to the lack of human interaction but the complacency of some people on the streets or walking around really worries me and I can't tell if people are just giving up and willing to get sick to get it over with (not as in suicide).

I have staff constantly asking me if I know when this will all be over, as if I have some magical ability to just say "Hmmmmm, September everything should be good..." I'm just as anxious as them, I just have to hide it a whole lot better.

Thansk guys, it helps to type this out. Stay safe and healthy.

I'm not far along, just sort of meandering around a lot.

I will truly miss Abby, her rapport with Jan and Ben I thoroughly enjoy (I'm 44 so its fun to hear the "kids" talk...) and she has been an amazing burst of a totally different kind of energy and background to gaming and gaming culture.

Abby good luck where ever you land!

Really uninterested, but I have been feeling a lot of Ubisoft fatigue these days and haven't purchased any of their software since Division 2.

At this point why not just delay into 2021? Avoid crunch, do a ton of clean up work on existing bugs and put out a polished and properly tested product?

Hi guys,

Canadian here, and I have to be honest your country is more than little on the disconcerting side.

It's like watching a slow motion car wreck as nothing can be done.

I can not imagine Trump winning again, but then I sincerely thought Americans would be able to recognize so obvious a conman and 4 years later there are still people that think he is a strong leader.

Vote. Vote. Vote. Pack food, water, and a good book. Stare down anyone trying to intimidate poll workers or voters, and call the FBI if you see anything really crazy. Don't leave the polling place, make your vote count.

Vote.

Things I have been playing the most through September and October (bear in mind my brain and sense of time/space have definitely been affected by "the pandemic"):

Hades - amazing run based game, possibly my game of the year (played on God mode and it was amazingly fun)

Spelunky 2 - I am absolutely terrible at this game, including multiple 6-8 secodnd runs...

Risk of Rain 2 - loving this game, though I have yet to see credits and the online could be a bit better;

Genshin Impact - fun Breath of the Wild clone, combat could be a bit better but definitely fun and free;

Carrion - fun "metroidvania";

Bloodstained - only played through as its on Gamepass, but the Vinnyvania streams really got me interested;

Old Republic - not sure why but decided to jump into the MMO; to this day I can't play with WASD and a mouse so its taking some getting used to.

Toronto, Ontario Canada here - i started a new Human Resources role with a Long Term Care centre on Feb 19 and we went into a respiratory outbreak on March 3, with the Covid-19 pandemic declared on 17 March. So less than a month in the role and went right into Covid.

My workplace has stayed Covid-19 free thus far, but its been a long, exhausting, and anxious period from my front line staff to our CEO (the CEO when I started was fired in May to make things even better), and becoming the "guy with the answers" througout the place.

I'm lucky that I am employed, but we are terrified watching the number go up and up (738 cases in Ontario as of today) and what restrictions are coming...
