This is not a list of the top 10 greatest games ever made. This is in fact, a list of games that, for one reason or another, made an impact on me personally.
I started to get a little bored and uninspired about half-way through, so my list starts to get a little strange as it makes its way down.
A large part of my RPG gaming experience was with pokemon when KOTOR first came out. The concept that the decisions I made had an actual impact on the outcome of the story blew my mind. I never looked at games the same way again.
My first Tim Schafer game, instantly fell in love. Everything about the world they created was so captivating, it was easy to look past its minor flaws.

The story wasn't perfect, but it sure made an impact. Spoilers: I was so upset when Roman died, I went back to my last save and replayed over 6 hours of the game to make sure he lived (I really didn't care for the love interest as much as Rockstar intended). I know, it's pathetic.
Infinity Ward revolutionized multiplayer. The campaign story kicked ass too. Captain Price, and his facial hair, are awesome.
I would go to sleep and dream about this game as a kid. It was a HUGE part of my gaming life.
I have yet to play Heavy Rain, but Indigo Prophecy is one of my favorite examples of interactive story telling. I hadn't experienced anything like it before.
