Hey duders. I got a coupon today for 75% off of Feist on Steam, which I'm not going to use. It says it's tradable, so, anyone want it? First person to post saying they want it gets it, and can DM me whatever name I need in order to send a trade request.

Seriously though, this seems like a strange move? I know the only point of all Final Fantasy releases now are nostalgia dollars, but this only recently came out on the other platforms, didn't it? I suppose it'll be the first time non-Sony users would be able to play them, but I would think the user base that is a) completely non-Sony and b) a current final fantasy fan would be pretty slim, no?

Whatever, I guess now a whole new user base will know the horror of Japanese to English VO pacing.

I own a PS4, and wouldn't buy an Xbox1. The library of quality AAA games this generation is so small thus far that I think you really need to examine the lesser known stuff on both sides to make your decision. I for one like Japanese games, and thus get a lot more out of my PS4 than I ever would out of a console that doesn't support them. It's the same stance I've I've taken since the PS2/Xbox era when my friends were arguing over which one was "better" -- it really just comes down to what you want to play.

There's also the fact that I can barely afford to keep current on the platform I'm already invested in. As I've griped about before, new games in Canada are 80 fucking dollars right now (which I adamantly refuse to pay, as it is insane), so bringing ANOTHER console into that mix wouldn't make sense. Also, I'm one of the minority who's still really enjoying what's being offered on the Vita (if you like Japanese games, the Vita is still putting out plenty of stuff), so that's yet another focus/cash split. I can't see a scenario where I'd ever buy into a Microsoft platform at this point.

There's also lineage to think about. When going from the PS2 to the PS3 era, my friend would ask what console I was going to get, and I told him, "Well, I know I'm going to at least want to play the next Ratchet game, so I'm sticking with Sony." If you're into long-running console exclusives, it just doesn't make sense to derail yourself off that track.

I have a hard time finding things to play with my wife, and lately even the things she's excited for don't give us the option of playing together. The frustrating thing is that there's really no reason NOT to include it, as far as gameplay or workload goes. If they already have it working online then surely taking connectivity issues out of the equation can only be a positive. It's all about money, unfortunately, so in an era of $80 new releases publishers simply aren't willing to allow for many instances of multiplayer wherein only one copy of the game was purchased.

I got my ps4 late last year and, despite what any document may say, you just know that this is going to lead to some horrid performance on a lot of "Base Modes". That being said, there's no way I'm upgrading, especially given how expensive everything is right now (CND is pretty much where USD was about 6 years ago, so my ps4 was still $500 at that point). I can't see the NEO debuting at anything less than $550 up here.

Persona 5 can't come fast enough, though based on the screenshots I have to say it maybe looks a bit TOO stylized, especially the menu text and GUI.

I got my wife into Ratchet with the ps3 collection, so I'm stoked!

@noobsmog:If you have a ps4, Disgaea 5 is, from a mechanics standpoint, pretty great. It improves on a lot of things and may be my favourite to PLAY of the series, if you don't count my nostalgia / admiration of the characters in Disgaea 1. The characters are not great / Seraphina may be the most annoying character ever conceived by humans, If you have a ps3, Disgaea D2 is the first game in the series to incorporate the Cheat Shop, something that adds flexibility and takes out some (SOME) of the grind. I wouldn't recommend 3 or 4 because not only are they the last games to use some outdated versions of their gameplay systems (weapon rarity, shop randomness, bad item growth, etc), but also because they both use randomness to an infuriating extent. I'm currently considering whether or not to abandon my platinum attempt at 4 because it's so tedious.

@chu52: My brain is only just getting over the trauma of The Witness. Yesterday I head In the Hall of the Mountain King and didn't immediately shudder.
