Apparently Portal has been chosen to be apart of a required freshmen course at Wabash College of liberal arts. It is going to be studied alongside classic works like Gilgamesh, Hamlet, and Politics with the broad topic of the enduring questions of humanity as the combined theme.

That's very interesting.  Not sure if Portal is the correct game for a "required reading" sort of thing for school, but it's good enough!

That's freaking awesome!

Looking at the college's website, there seems to be a heavy focus on sports and recreation. Not so much really about the type of education provided. So, I'm gonna deduce it's not really a brains college. Plus, at 30,000 a year for an all men college, I'd be fine just playing Portal without enrolling.

I think I'm going to go there for college now.

Well, considering that you play as a person being held captive and forced to be put through horrible tests, and that the captors are also (at least from the start, it seems) human. I'd say that it raises some valid questions on the topic of humanity from both sides.

When I first began Portal I did not know there was any real story to the game, until I had reached the parts where you find little cave type rooms inside a broken wall where survivors had written on the walls inside, I almost shit my pants.
