So apparently at Pokemon Game Show in Japan there was a video showcasing a bunch of Pokemon games and at the end a slight tease appeared. Basically it shows Lucario and Blaziken facing off in what is clearly an HD game. This has lead to a lot of speculation on what exactly it could be. Colosseum 3? Battle Revolution 2? STADIUM 3?!?!?!?!?!?!

Siliconera uncovered the trademarks for "Pokken Fighters" and "Pokken Tournament," both filed by The Pokemon Company. Based off that, they are speculating that this could even be a fighting game. (Wut)

What do you make of this? Yay? Nay?

Well if this does turn out to be a fighting game, maybe that will get the people who want an action Pokemon game to shut up. Though I don't really have any interest in that. I doubt that it's a colosseum type deal either, because the appeal of those games was always kind of about battling in 3d, which you can do in X and Y anyways. Interested to see what this ends up being. Maybe we'll hear more at TGS.

People have been asking for a non-handheld, full 3d version of Pokemon for forever. If Nintendo wanted to sell the Wii U they would just do this already.

Absolutely agreed. I feel like Nintendo will have to do something like this in future, possibly having some type of interactivity with X/Y.

New crazy thought: What if this is like a teaser for Blaziken and Lucario for Smash Bros? Highly doubt it will happen but you know fans have been begging for Lucario and for whatever reason Nintendo loves Blaziken now.

I'd buy a Wii U immediately after they announce such a game.

Eh, they sort of did that with Pokemon Colosseum already. Sort of.

Yeah, but it was really watered down and you couldn't catch any Gen I Pokemon. It was a good start, but a full fledged, 100% YOU CAN CATCH ALL 600 OR W/E Pokemon game in HD where you can control the battles as well in a 2D original pokemon type form on the WiiU controller would probably be the sickest thing ever.
