The Phantom Corsair was a one-off vehicle produced in 1938, at the request of Rust Heinz, of the Heinz Food Company. The car was unique in the sense it took on the shape of a coupe, yet could seat six people. The car was built in Pasadena, California, and in 1938, it was sold for $24,000 (or $300,000 in the present day). Rust Heinz died soon after the production of the automobile, cancelling his plans of having the vehicle produced in limited numbers for $12,000 each. In the present day, the car resides in The National Automobile Museum, in Nevada.
In L.A. Noire, the car appears under its real name, and is one of the hidden vehicles within the city of Los Angeles. This means that the vehicle is a one-off, and can only be attained from the one location within the city. It is capable of 115mph, making it one of the game's fastest cars - as well as one of its most unique, due to the incredibly unorthodox body profile.
