Why has it taken so long for them to review it? While I personally loved 5, the new host seems not too thrilled about it (which is fine).

    Any news?

They only review games if they can be bothered, and nobody was going to be playing 100 hours of persona 5 in a week at GB

Yeah, I don't think they'll be reviewing this. Alex and Ben seem to be the only ones playing it, and from what they've said on various podcasts, they're in "playing it for fun, not work" mode.

They have expressed their opinions enough on podcasts on the game so assigning a score to it seems unnecessary.

I'm not sure they need to. The podcast discussion has been more than sufficient, and being this far out from release, I can't imagine there are many people holding out for a Giant Bomb written review before making a purchasing decision on what is already a critically acclaimed JRPG. That being said, I'd be interested in reading one just to see what Ben is like as a writer.

No. Ben's playing it for fun, Alex is mostly playing it because his girlfriend is interested in it, and I doubt anyone else on the staff will even come close to finishing it. I haven't had a chance to listen to their discussions about it on the Bombcast yet. The reactions on the Beastcast seem positive, though they acknowledge some gripes they have with the game. Pretty sure the Bombcast discussions will be similar to listen to. I imagine this would be a 4 star review from pretty much any of the guys.

Having listened to the podcasts, I can tell you that it'd probably be 4 from both Alex and Ben. 3,5 if they'd use half-stars.

Otherwise, what someone already said. They only review games when they feel like it. Even Nier didn't get a review and just about everyone seemed to like/love that game.

I doubt it. No one expect Alex, Ben and Vinny seemed interested in it.
