They are usually black and white, though they can be brown, blue or yellow, or with shades of some of those colors. They are most prevalent in Antarctica and also appear in other places around the world such as the Galapagos islands.
Popularized by recent movies such as March of the Penguins, Surf's Up, and Happy Feet, penguins have seen a recent resurgence into the public eye. They have a unique look, with a constant, upright position and a funny waddle.
The penguins' diet comprises of krill, squids and fishes. They dive underwater to reach most of their prey and they have a high tolerance for cold as well as water pressure. They swim very fast, up to speeds of 17 miles per hour. Among such notable Penguin species are Emperor Penguins, King Penguins, Chinstrap Penguins, Galapagos Penguins, Royal Penguins, Macaroni Penguins and Little Blue Penguins.
