    at 400-500 clearly a GTX 280
    Hmm...Crossfire 4870's.......

    but tbh - a single GTX 260 is more then enough, you'll save cash and get the graphical power you'll need to play all games at max, even crysis etc

    if you want to get 2 card then you must have a SLI or Crossfire Motherboard to do that, if not the get one really big card.

    $400-$500? From what i gather i think the Nvidia GTX280 card is around that price tag, not sure about the ATI 4870x2 card though but thats also an option too look into.

    I'm not totally clued up on US prices though :S

    Get two 4850 video cards if you want the best value. If you want to step up a notch, take...

    - (2) 4870
    - (2) GTX 260

    Great article here: http://enthusiast.hardocp.com/article.html?art=MTU1OCwxLCxoZW50aHVzaWFzdA==

    Well 500 bucks is a ton of money to spend on a graphics card.

    If you want the best graphics card available, I think its the 4870 X2. If you want something with more value for the price, go with a GTX 280. If you want the best bang for your buck, you should consider an SLI configuration.

    For that price, the 280GTX is the best you can get.

    GTX 280, if you could squeze a few extra dollars then definitely get the 4870X2
