Bandit is a character that first appeared in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island for the Super Nintendo. They would later appear in the Paper Mario series.
Bombette is the third character that joins Mario's party in Paper Mario. She is a female bob-omb. Her special ability is that she can break down cracked walls by exploding (not fatally).

Goomboss is one of the first bosses Mario and Goombario fight in Paper Mario. He later reprises his role as a boss in the games Super Mario 64 DS and Mario Kart DS. He is one of the only Paper Mario characters returning to Mario games, with the exception of the Star Spirits in Mario Party 5.
One half of the deadly twosome, the Hammer Bros. from Super Mario Bros fame. They jump from platform to platform in a seemingly random pattern throwing goshdarn hammers!

Lady Bow is the fifth character to join Mario's party in Paper Mario. She is a female boo and head of the Boo mansion deep within Forever Forest. Her powers are making Mario invisible, scaring enemies from battle, and smacking opponents silly.
Lakilester is the last character that joins Mario's party in Paper Mario. Lakilester is a Lakitu who abandons Bowser and joins Mario. His special skill is his ability to float over harmful objects like spikes and lava.
Lakitu has appeared in a variety of Mario games; from Super Mario Bros on the NES right up to Mario Kart 7. He is responsible for dropping Spinies onto the levels below, holding up signs and his very own start signal from all nine Mario Kart games.
Lava Piranha is an enormous overgrown Piranha Plant boss in Paper Mario. Lava Piranha is the chief, king, boss, and commander of Mt. Lavalava on Lavalava Island, where he is found.
Luigi is Mario's brother. He began as a simple palette swap of Mario, but was later differentiated. In his later forays, he provides comic relief.
Originally a carpenter named Jumpman, this Italian plumber has gone on to become the most recognizable video game character of them all, starring in a veritable pantheon of titles like kart racing and sports. He has been voiced by Charles Martinet for nearly 20 years.
The fourth character to join Mario's party in Paper Mario, Parakarry is a flying Koopa mailman who delivers letters and packages to the various residents of The Mushroom Kingdom. His aerial prowess also makes him a valuable ally to Mario, both in the field and in battle.
Princess Peach Toadstool is usually the damsel in distress from the Mario franchise. She gets kidnapped frequently by Bowser, though she's not averse to being captured by various other villains from time to time.
The boss of the fifth world in Yoshi's Island and a supporting character in Paper Mario. He was an ordinary Raven once, but Kamek used his magic powers to increase his size and strength.
She is the seventh character that joins Mario's party in Paper Mario. Sushie is a fish that lives with the Yoshis at Lavalava island. Sushie's special skill is her ability to swim across bodies of water with mario and dive under the water.
The Toad is a member of the Toad species. He is a loyal attendant of Princess Peach and often assists Mario on his journeys in a variety of ways.
The "invincible" Tubba Blubba is a boss from Paper Mario, who rules over a domain in the Gusty Gulch region of Mushroom Kingdom and terrorizes the local Boo inhabitants.
Tutankoopa is a boss from Paper Mario. He is notable for his pharoah complex, his magic abilities, and his heavy association with Chomps.
Watt is the sixth character that joins Mario's party in Paper Mario. She is a lonely little spark who is held captive by the big lantern ghost. Her special ability is she can light up dark rooms and reveal hidden (invisible) block.
Whacka is an endangered species from the Paper Mario series. When hit on the head, it releases a Whacka Bump.
