Anybody getting this game tomorrow?
Looks interesting but I probably won't buy it. I have too many other game I absolutely need, and little money. NBA 2k10 and Forza 3 for example.
I'm not getting it tomorrow, but I might get it a couple weeks from now, just depends on what other games I decide to get and how much money I got.
I'm getting it for the 360. I went out today, in Maryland, and it is still shipping. However, it should be at most places tomorrow. BTW, I went to Best Buy, Gamestop, Toys R Us and Wal-Mart....
I was going too buy it today, but nobody had it in stock. Wal-Mart and Kmart didn't have it of course. Called Best Buy and they said they were supposed have it in stock today, but it never arrived and apparently it got delayed and they have no idea when they'll get it now.
I'm ready for digital distribution.
EDIT: Talking about the 360 version.
I'm starting to doubt that this game exists. Nobody has it in stock in my area. Not even Best Buy and Gamestop have it.
" My PC's too shit to run it. And FPSs are not designed for consoles. So no unfortunatly... "FPSs work perfectly fine on consoles these days. Ever since Halo, console control schemes have been handled very well (for the most part). Sure, M/Kb gives better precision, but Halo, COD, KZ, etc. all handle perfectly well on consoles. Hell, COD is designed with consoles in mind first these days, so don't let control issues keep you away from playing a console shooter.
Maybe you've played some recent console FPSs and decided you don't like them, but if you haven't, give them a shot.
" @eroticfishcake said:I've played a good few FPSs on consoles since they've existed and I'm good enough at them. Like you said it's getting more streamlined for consoles as well but even then FPSs just feels "right" on a PC. I'm happy with both control schemes but I just prefer the Moust/Keyboard configuration. Also you get to use mods if it's a PC game." My PC's too shit to run it. And FPSs are not designed for consoles. So no unfortunatly... "FPSs work perfectly fine on consoles these days. By the way your name reminded me of this;
I got the game for 360, and I must say I'm very impressed. It looks awesome on my monitor and it is a nice change of pace from the run and gun shooters we're accustomed to on consoles.
I Got it today its Awsome but wouldnt recomend it for casual players though. Its not just run and shoot.
Finally got it. Best Buy had it. It's great thus far, hard but fun. Still getting used to the controls. I'm only at the second mission, which is tough because of the time limit. Not sure how I feel about the time limit yet, it adds suspense, but it would be nice to go at my own pace(slow).
Haven't played online yet, tried too but I could only find one game and the guy kicked me out as soon as I joined. If anybody wants too play some pvp and Xbox, send me a friend request.
Played this for about an hour on PC and initial impressions are not good:
- AI teammates getting stuck on terrain features and spazzing out until they eventually teleport a few metres away.
- I've got stuck on the terrain myself due to no jump key.
- No manual save, so dying can mean having to repeat a 5 min cross-country trek.
- A bug where changing the 'Use' key from default results in there being no way to back out of ammo crates.
- Alt-tab locks up the game.
- About a year of unskippable splash screens to sit through at the start.
So far it seems like Arma 2 with none of the ambition but with just as many problems.
@Jimbo:
You can skip the splash screens by hitting enter. If you haven't try playing online for a while, it's more fun and for the most part gets rid of stupid ai problems. The game certainly has its fair share of problems, but there is fun to be had. I think it runs much smoother then arma II.

Disregard most of my last post. As Ubiq says, the splash screens are skippable and I eventually realised that those circles on the map are the checkpoints.
Ok, having actually figured out how to play it a bit, the game is pretty good, it's just bad at explaining things (that or I'm bad at paying attention).
" @nick69 said:I've been hearing a lot of that, and it's deterring me from actually getting the game and waiting for something that is better." @Ahmad_Metallic said:yeah, i heard... the clan owner also said he played it and it stinks.. used the word "gay" alot. I guess all I can do now and wait for the demo, instead of dropping 40 on a game that might not be good.
