Simple question: does anybody know who those pro gamers were in the commercial? Were they just actors?

My assumption is that they are pro Splatoon players but I don't have anything to back it up.

I am sure there is probably some scene out there for people competing at Splatoon but... not a big one.

@artisanbreads: Did you not see that clearly authentic stadium full of exuberant Splatoon fans?

I was at a rooftop party and a bit distracted I will have to watch it again.

Ye, I recognised a couple pros from the Splat scene. Don't think those were the official teams but I recognised a few. You've got Big Bobby, Pancake, Despair, Paintguy69, Splatty B, Matt Smith, and 5QU1D.

@gnomeonfire:The stadium was definitely a fake, but I wasn't sure if the players were real or not.

@49th: I'm not sure if these guys are serious or just messing with me but they might actually be pros.

Haha the idea of Splatoon having a huge competitive scene hoho good one Nintendo you're killing me.

Pretty sure they were just actors. Or it's just a crazy coincidence that one of them was named "Surume" which I assumed was a joke.
