Nintendo's next console is due to launch in around six months and there has been growing speculation in recent weeks that they will talk about it soon.

Given Nintendo's recent history of naming consoles (Wii and Wii U, 3DS and New 3DS) what do you think they are going to call it? Something that hints at the functionality like DS or NES or something random like Wii?

I always liked the idea of just calling one of their consoles simply Nintendo. I have to imagine they will drop the Wii prefix after the confusion it caused. Apparently quite a few people still think it is the original Wii with a fancy Ipad controller.

My serious guess will be something Nintendo Duo or Dual.

I hope they just call it Nintendo. It would be cool to do as well with how the console is trying to bring together their mobile and console business.
