So i played the demo, and holy rubber banding, autopilot, rewind batman. There's no such thing as turning in this game, all the courses are basically built to be giant straight lines. The A.I is extremely rubber banding to create a false sense of competition., also the game at least on normal automatically accelerates, decelerates, and turns accordingly. Interestingly enough the acceleration audio continues even if the game is decelerating you, so you wont notice.

I just don't understand the point of this ? Its not even a game.

I haven't played the demo, so judgement is on hold, though what I've seen of it is that it seems terribly "cinematic".

Although I would say that, yes, you've played the demo, but surely you can not speak for the entire game? Are all the courses built to be straight lines?

Either way I'll be most likely avoiding this.

I was looking forward to this game thinking it would be some kind of Need for Speed masterpiece to max out on the new PC.. your post is not very encouraging!

I played the game and also noticed how distanced from controlling a car it felt. It was like the middle of the road was a magnet pulling my car along for the ride.

Need for Speed died with ProStreet (I think ProStreet was the first one after Carbon), that's for sure.

I thought there was something that felt off about the driving. Hopefully we can turn all that assist crap off in the final version. I like the concept of a story-driven, set-piece filled racing game.

The best thing about the demo is that it made me go back and play a few more hours of Hot Pursuit. Love that game.

I hate rubber banding, it gives no sense of competition, I miss taking great strides in front of the opposition which gave you a greater sense of happiness when you won.

Blasted through the demo on the hardest difficulty rarely letting off turbo, It's a boring "streamlined" game like most other games coming out on modern consoles.

That demo was ridiculous. I hope that they make Hot Pursuit 2 next year.

Basically. It's weird seeing what a change MW has been able to make not just in shooters, but across games in general, with a lot more over-the-top scripting and things than ever before.

Or maybe this is like Uncharted with cars, too.
