NBA Jam
Game » consists of 7 releases. Released Oct 05, 2010
Return to the roots of arcade NBA basketball in the 2010 installment of NBA Jam. Developed by EA Canada for seventh-generation game consoles, this rebirth brings back the gameplay, aesthetics, and gratuitous secrets of the original 1993 arcade game.
NBA Jam HD Is Coming, But You'll Have To Buy Elite 11 To Get It
" my question is, if they released Jam as a separate $60 product, would people be happier with that? "It it was a full game with a few different modes and online play.... definitely. I'm not interested in something as serious as NBA Elite, but have a lot of love for NBA Jam.
WTF!?!!!?!?!?!!?
I don't like basketball, I don't like sports games, but NBA jam was a marvel from my childhood, the only sports game I ever got into because it was easy to run around making shots, rebounds, passes, and slam dunks no need for all these tactics, or need for like of sports to play it, you could just pick up, play.
I have no urge to buy a full 60 dollar basketball game to get what I wanted a piece of my childhood. *shakes head*This is totally lame. Though, I am interested in NBA Elite now that they're totally redoing it, but I have no intention of buying it unless it's unbelievably amazing.
On the one hand I usually feel kind of silly for owning all the consoles in this generation at my income level, on the other hand at a moment like this I am glad I don't have to throw money at NBA Elite to get this game. Especially since I really want to rent it first to make sure it doesn't suck and that isn't possible with pack ins or PSN/XBL.
This is just stupidity in plain sight. If you can't see past this, then let me show you.
So basically there is this game called NBA Jam for Wii. It will include VS mode and a Campaign Mode but no Online.
Then there is this game called NBA Jam for 360/PS3, which is just Vs mode with no Campaign Mode, but with Online.
The only way to get the first NBA Jam with no Online is to pay $50 USD.
The only way to get the second NBA Jam with no Campaign is to pay $60 USD for a download coupon.
The second NBA Jam comes bundled with a free copy of NBA Elite.
Now, you could pay $50 USD for a game with no online (though capable), or you can pay $60 USD for a game with online but no actual game (but bundled with the side game NBA Elite).
This is what happens when a once creative and groundbreaking game company goes bankrupt and is ripped apart and raped of its assets by larger dummy companies whose only purpose is profit over product.
