    Originally created to control the rat population in New York City, Baxter Stockman decided that using the Mousers to steal money from banks was a faster way to get rich. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles quickly caught on to his plan and put a stop to it before he could get away with his ill gotten gains.
     
    The Mousers have appeared in many of the various incarnations of the Ninja Turtles series, but almost all of them involve the bank theft plan.
