It's the only prime time 'adult' animated cartoon. FG gets great ratings, McFarlane isn't getting paid for nothing. It is popular.

I think that the writing on the show has gotten gradually worse, not that it was exactly the embodiment of wit to begin with. Was a little disappointed with the MW2 reference also, probably because I'd seen it bigged up out of proportion on various internet forums.

Yeah. Just because its popular, doesnt mean we hate it because its popular. WE HATE IT. is it because its popular? MAYBEEE, but not definitely, and in this case, its because its cat shit.

I used to be a Family Guy fan, but then i noticed how unoriginal it is, stealing its structure from The Simpsons and its "brilliance" from the truly brilliant South Park.
Up until 2 months ago, for some reason i kept watching Family Guy and American Dad every week, but then i was like "Gah, why the fuck do i keep giving these shitty look-a-like shows a chance? its ALWAYS about the main guy being a reckless or inconsiderate asshole, the wife enduring her husband's stupidity, the boy being geeky/fat and "funny", the girl having a problem with the world, and the Pet dog/fish being smart and amusing. And it always ends up with Stan/Peter learning his mistake and going "What have i done?" Then apologizing to the family. FUCK THAT"

Hows that for why Family Guy MADE ME hate it ? And no, i DONT wanna see that MW2 scene, i bet its just another quick scene thats supposed to give me a chuckle.

I dislike family guy, it lost it after season 3 and I used to be a big fan watched all the original episodes countless times but season 4 and onwards consists of running jokes which are cringeworthy, the fall of Stewie from evil genius bent on world domination to a confused homosexual baby and the occasional joke that at its best make me "phht". Seriously thought this was gonna be a joke thread from the title, only 14 year old prepubescent kids think family guy is hilarious.

I did see the clip on 1up. It was pretty lazy, I thought. Personally, I find all of Family Guy's humour to be lazy and repetitive but simply watching Peter suck at MW2 didn't get any laughs from me. I don't watch the show regularly but I remember it being a whole helluva lot better than this.

There was a time when I really liked Family Guy, maybe like 4 or 5 years ago. Then I stopped watching just because I was so burned out from it. I was perusing around on Hulu the other day and decided to watch some of the newer episodes....Family Guy kind of blows now.

I did watch the improv episode and that was actually pretty funny, but man its more miss than hit with the show nowadays.
