Now before you say anything I have mixed feelings about the game On one hand I don't have the game so I can't say much about it but on the other hand I've heard the campain is very very short.
But the question I want to ask is Is there any one out there who hates the game? because I haven't seen anybody who hates the game is it that good or is it very shitty?
Are there any COD haters out there?

This shouldn't be in Off-Topic, just keep that in mind next time you make a thread.
As for my view on MW2, eh, it's sort of a love-hate relationship. I recently rekindled my addiction to the game, but the constant barrage of killstreak rewards and exploitable explosive weapons (RPG's in particular) have sort of ruined it to a degree for me. I still play, but the game could use a bit of balancing with some of the weapons.
I don't hate it, but I'm not calling it a masterpiece either. If you're looking for something fresh in online FPS, then MW2 is pretty much more of the same. The game awards the individual, but there is not really any reason to work as a team. If you're looking for a game that is team work focused and you like objectives then Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is for you. If you like a more robust killstreak system than COD4 or COCWAW had and easier gunplay then MW2 is for you.
Edit: Oh and the MW2 campaign is just Hollywood crap. It's flashy at first but then you'll look at the story and go "WTF this makes no sense".

To be completely candid, I hate that it's so popular. When meeting new people who start talking about Xbox and playing games, I ask them what they play. "Modern Warfare 2." Fuck, why can't you recognize the superiority of BF:BC2? I guess it's just the elitist in me hating on the mainstream.
I think that if you *hate* this game, it's based on a grudge or bias. I enjoy playing from time to time, but the one thing I do hate on Xbox is getting mass voice messages after every game I play advertising "1400 microsoft points for 10th prestige lobby, aim bots, wall hacks, etc". What's the point of playing if you're just going to cheat or get someone else to do everything for you?

It's a glitch that happens every once in a while.
No, he did post it in off-topic. Then I moved it to the Modern Warfare 2 forum. If you see a forum post move, the chances are it's not a bug, a moderator just moved it." @Everyones_A_Critic said:

I don't hate the game itself but I do hate the user-base and multi-player aspect of it. 13 year-olds yelling at the mic and using exploits- no thank you.

CONGRATS
As to the OP's quesiton, I LOVE THIS GAME
" Haven't played it so....YES!!!!!!!!!!!...No I'm pretty indifferent to the series. It's not a game I'll ever find appeal to me, though I can greatly understand its popularity. "You're missing out . I've never been into FPS games until recently with R1 and R2 and now MW2 converted me into a FPS gamer .
I hate a lot of popular things because of how they reflect upon the masses that enjoy them. What does Avatar say about what society values in film? What does Twilight say about what teenagers value in literature? What does Kesha say about what college students value in their music? What does Modern Warfare 2 say about what gamers value?
I know I'm coming across as pretentious. I don't need it pointed out to me.
I don't care for military games as I'm not fond of the audience, setting, and overall vibe of military focused culture. Too much glorification of armed conflict and gun porn.
Do you mean literally COD 3 or do you mean COD: WAW?" i liked cod 2 and 3, however modern warfare 1 and 2 were amazing for about a month but then i hated it and sold both you get tired fast of the campaign fast and the multiplayer pisses me off all the time even when i'm doing good "
Because COD 3 was kinda bad my friend. And I'm not talking a little bit bad, I'm talking absolutely horrible. :-p
" @kermoosh said:everybody says cod 3 sucked, but it was my first cod and first modern fps other than halo so i loved it, i might have hated it if it wasn't my firstDo you mean literally COD 3 or do you mean COD: WAW? " I'm still confused why people think the "No Russian" level was a great piece of storytelling. "Who the fuck said that?
I'm a bit annoyed by the "Hey brah, let's go totally shoot some up terrorists and shit" culture that surrounds it but I liked the game, especially the multiplayer. I didn't enjoy it as much as most people but it was definitely an enjoyable experience which surpassed my expectations.
I love the game to death. LOVE the single player and beat it multiple times, and played (and am still playing) the online to death.
But the h4drc0r3 answer to this thread will be "BF:BC2 is better" because it's not as popular. You can't be mainstream and h4rdc0r3 1337 at the same time, you know.
I don't really like it as much as I did the first Modern Warfare. Everything they've added to it just makes it feel a bit broken, in a number of ways... the new perks, deathstreaks(painkiller, especially), akimbo weapons.. ugh.
If they toned some of that stuff down, like commando knife lunge distance, OMA replenishing grenades, and straight up nerf(or remove) Danger Close, I'd probably enjoy it a bit more.
But eh, that's just my opinion.
I don't HATE the game, but it IS overrated, and I'm on record as having preferred World at War. I think the hype for MW2, and indeed for the series as a whole, generates such a divisiveness in gamers about this game. You get people hating it blindly and people who wanna have its babies, and not a lot of room in between. It's somewhat like what you see with Nintendo games. I seem to be the only person on planet earth who thinks they're just OK, not the greatest things ever or the worst abominations in existence.
Well, at least it's not as bad as the political fanboys.
It is a love-hate thing, really. I love the fact that it is addictive, the gameplay is superb, and that it is so easy to pick up for a round or two ( to kill time ). I hate the fact that it is riddled with noobtubers and RPG-spammers, and annoying people in general. Alas, I still play it, and I'm not going to stop anytime soon.
The only thing I can honestly say I hate about Modern Warfare 2 is the writing. I really wish that more time was put into the writing for the story. Even in COD 4: Modern Warfare the part where the nuke went off was some bad writing as well because none of the other countries responded to it. It was the third nuke to be used since WW II and no one responds to it besides a reporter? In Modern Warfare 2 what about the other dead Russian guys at the airport? Why just concentrate on the American and not the other dead terrorists?
I hope for Modern Warfare 3 they get some of the writers from Bioware to write it.

Capt. Price was really interesting and that level where all you did was get dragged around in the back of some car was a new idea to me, so i enjoyed that. And All Ghillied Up is the best game level i think, Ive ever played. But it wasn't a good story, I really didn't feel like any of the events were connected in a way that I cared about what was happening. COD4 was as much an action movie as MW2.
i dont hate this game i just think the singel player is short and not very good and the online sucks
if you want a good fps singel player game play any of these games ,bioshock ,the darkness ,coj:bib ,far cry 2 ,halo 3
if you want a good fps multiplayer game play any of these games ,tf2(pc only console version sucks) ,battelfield bad company 2 ,call of duty 3 ,call of duty waw/5 ,halo 3
Hate is a strong word.
Do I dislike the single player? No. I enjoyed that part of the game a lot, it had huge set piece levels and was a lot of fun to play. Sure the story was bananas, but I get an odd kick out of stories in which American soil is being invaded.
Do I dislike the multi player? No, I hate the multi player. The thing about that is, I would love it were it not for the fact that the first match I played I was almost instantly killed by "XxXSmokesMaDBluntzXxX", whom had a pot leaf logo and title. I really dislike that sort of person, and yeah, they are unavoidable in any online game; but when the game itself seems to be giving them some sort of outlet for it, I get turned off real quick. I really disliked that the game seemed to turn into more of an arcade shooter than I remembered it in CoD4. I much prefer the Battlefield games, the multi player is just much more to my styling.
I am willing to give Call of Duty one more shot though, MW2 turned me off, but I have hopes that Treyarch will leave some of the stupid nonsense behind.
There's so many haters for this game, but that shouldn't be a surprise. It's the way a lot of people choose to be. If it's popular, there's a group out there that refuses to give into the hype.
Twitter, Facebook, COD, WoW... all examples of what I mean.
I, however, do enjoy MW2. It's a fun game, which is pretty much the only prerequisite I have in gaming.
